Show us where you live Friday (except it's Monday) .... living rooms.

I know I am SO late on this but I decided I'd still do it anyway. I have had no time this weekend to get on the computer. It was such a busy weekend but lots of fun!!! Anyway, here's my living room. Probably this summer, we're going to replace the gray carpet with wood. CAN'T WAIT for that...mainly because I have a 108 pound golden retriever who gets mud all over the carpet every time he gets wet, which lately has been a lot with this rain. He has a big shed outside that we got for him with a little couch in it and everything but he'd rather be in the rain by the back door than in his shed. We always let him in when it's raining but sometimes we're gone and he's outside when it rains. If we know it's going to rain, we leave him inside. Anyway, looking so forward to having cleaner floors!!! :)

Looking at the living room from the kitchen. I have a rug that I have used in my living rooms when we lived in Louisiana that I cannot wait to put down once we have our wood floors in. I think it will add a lot to this room.
One of my favorite pictures of Macy and Charlie Bear. I think she was 10 when this was taken. I can't ever remember dates which is why I have to have a camera with date imprint on it. :)

I love this frame. I got it a few years ago at the Holiday House. They don't have a booth anymore with these frames...I look every year. Rosie Love is the baby in the picture. :)

Hey Heather, Your house is beautiful!! You have always been such a great decorator!!! I was wondering why you don't just put your rug you love down over your carpet. I have seen people do that before I think. Just a thought since you like it so much! Love you!!

I followed the link from Kelly's corner... I clicked on you because of your name on the link "Heather Bug"... my nickname as a child was "annie bug"... my family still refers to me as that...:) Your house is gorgeous! I looked at your last post, too, and I see your nephew's name is PUG??? I have to ask, is it his real name or nickname? I've NEVER heard this name before, EXCEPT for my FATHER IN LAW!!! (His is a nickname, he's had since birth, but EVERYONE knows his as Pug.) Anyway, what a great blog you have! :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make
