Show Us Where You Live Friday (except it's Sunday) Bathrooms

I'm late, as usual, with Show us Where you Live Friday. These pictures are also 2 1/2 years old and were taken when we knew we were going to buy the house but hadn't moved in yet. :s Not much has changed so I thought I'd just post these because 1) I didn't want to look for all my bathroom pictures and 2) I didn't want to take pictures today because I'm too lazy to clean my bathtub and shower. :)
May May in the Master Bath
I really love our bathroom because it's really geared towards couples and togetherness. I love the double shower heads and the big bath with the fireplace over it. Even the closet is for both of us, but it's big, so it works. :) I would like to change the brass but really don't know how to go about it. One day.

My sista friend, Calli, posing by the toilet. HA! :)

The upstairs bathroom. There's a tub and shower off to the side. I want to paint these cabinets, paint the walls, and get a new light fixture.
I actually had this bathroom painted red and the ceiling is black (which is what I had in my other house that I really loved). It's not finished yet, though, so I didn't post it. I still need to get a new light fixture and mirror and decorate the walls. One thing I really love about this bathroom is the sink. I'll take a closer picture once I get the room done.

Macy's bathroom off her bedroom. She has 2 skylights in her ceiling which is neat. She does not have this shower curtain and I don't think I've seen the floor of her bathroom since we've lived in the house. :) I love her even though she's messy!! Speaking of Macy, she is in Africa and LOVING it which thrills me!!! She texted me once from one of the parent's phones and told me she was there and it is awesome and that she couldn't text me again because it's too expensive. They have a blog, though, which is really neat and she left a comment on there.
More later! :)

It must be so awesome having a fireplace in the bathroom!

I am about to change out my shower doors too. I'm getting frameless ones from Lowes.

I SO want to have a fireplace over my big bathtub! What a fabulous idea!!! We'd never get out of it!!

We changed out our brass framed doors as well and bought some at Lowe's that are framed in a dark metallic (sort of). Anyway, I like them better in my bathroom. Question: How do you keep your glass shower walls so clean? I use the squeejie (sp?), but I can't get them clear!
Wow - awesome master bath!

BTW - you won my Middle Mom Book giveaway! Please send me your name and address so we can get that in the mail to you! You can find my email address on my profile.

Thanks again for entering and GO {diamond} HOGS!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
