I miss my sunshine! Yesterday, I was in Wal-Mart and got a call from Hannah. She said Rosie was having a bad day and crying a lot. She asked for Hadoo and Mar at one point and cried. :( Anyway, Rosedoo got on the phone and the first thing she said was, "I cry". I know God has a purpose in them moving but I sure wish it didn't hurt me so much. Selfish I know, but I sure do love that baby girl! My sweet little bright spot! She is so super special to me. I miss her so much! Now there is a chance they could be moving even further away. :( I'm not going to worry about that today, though. I just wish I could see Rosie Love! I went to Zumba this morning. It was GREAT!!! It was so much fun! I met Molly there so that made it even better. I may go again tomorrow but the right ball of my foot hurts to walk on it...could be that I wore Sketchers. :s I guess I need to get some good aerobic shoes. I got May a good down sleeping bag new with tags on e-bay. It retails for $150 and I got it for $85. That makes me happy! She'll be leaving to go on Exteme Expedition at the first of June. She'll be spending a week in Colorado hiking. She needs to come to Zumba with me to get in shape for all that hiking! :) I figured out yesterday that I haven't gotten child support for 2 months. It goes on a card and I hardly ever touch it so I didn't even realize it. Crazy me! Oh well, I called Ryan and hopefully it will be taken care of. I really should be cleaning right now. Ellie is coming tomorrow for the weekend and Trey and Gail are moving in with us for the summer this weekend. Gail's parents are coming with them for a few hours on Saturday to see where they'll be living. We'll also have an extra dog living with us this summer. Lulu is a small dog and really sweet so I think it will be okay. I think Charlie Bear will like having a friend. My friend, Heather, recommended a good book to me that I think I'm going to go buy...it's called Divine by Karen Kingsbury. I have been reading a lot more since we don't have cable anymore (we don't even have rabbit ears so we don't get any channels). I like life better without TV. More later! :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
