Mar and I just got back from eating at Bonefish Grill. It was the first time we have eaten there. It was pretty good. I went to zumba this morning and after that headed to mom's to swim. I had been in there about 2 minutes when it started thundering. :) Oh well, so much for my day at the pool. Lamar did some lab work while I watched Madeline with Rosie. I LOVE Rosie being back in town!!! Hannah, Justin, and little Love are staying with mom and dad until they find an apartment or house. Yep, I've been spending LOTS of time over at mom and dad's. Also, I only have less than 2 weeks in that house so I'm making the most of it. Anyway, here are some pictures.

HA! I love my sista, Calli! She's so crazy! We have so much fun together. I love it that we've been friends since we were little girls. She is just one of my favorite people. She got me this frame and key chain for my birthday.

We had the annual Lane family 4th of July reunion at our house this year. Everyone drove a long way. Lamar loved having his family here. I loved it, too. Here's sweet Kathryn, Helen, and Hannah.

Hanging out in the back yard. Granddad turned 88 on the 3rd. He's one of the nicest men I've ever met. I love him!

Me and Mar

Ellie, Leah, Hannah, and May. They were all freezing in our house so they were bundled up in Macy's bed. :)

One of the benefits of mom and dad moving is that we are getting lots of free furniture. :) Mom gave me her round table and chairs and it fits perfect in our breakfast area. It doesn't match perfectly with the red but I am eventually getting rid of the red wallpaper and paint anyway. I am also going to paint the cabinets. It's a little overwhelming to take down wallpaper and paint the walls and cabinets, though, which is why it's still not done. :)

Cousins....Ben, May, Mark, Drew, Mary Beth, Melanie, Leah, and Ellie.

After eating lunch at our house, we went over to mom and dad's to make homemade ice cream and to swim. I had to run to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and buy a homemade ice cream maker because we couldn't find a little (but necessary) piece that went with ours. I had no idea any stores were even open yesterday. Mar loves to make his homemade peach ice cream and Milky Way ice cream whenever he can. Everyone loves it, too!

I'm really going to miss sitting here. There have been lots of memories in this back yard. I remember when this was a deck before mom and dad added the pool. I'm going to miss the pool and the beautiful view. Their new house is really pretty, though, and we'll make lots of new memories there. Lamar and I were noticing today that some stop signs were taken down on a street we go on almost everyday and then we realized we would hardly ever be on that street anymore. It's a street I've been on lots and lots over the last 31 years. :( It's just kind of sad even though I know it's God's will.

Mar and Isaac. He is only 3 months old and just precious! I can already see he has such a sweet personality. He smiles so much. He's so cute!

Daniel, Dan, and Jennifer. Isn't Daniel gorgeous?! I am so happy that Dan is loving being a dad so much! He waited a long time for his family and it's fun to see him living his dream.
Well, I think I'm going to go get me a chocolate chip cookie with Hershey Kissables in them! YUM! I didn't eat dessert at Bonefish because I knew I would be wanting one of those cookies. They are calling my name! :) More later.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
