Beth Moore is challenging siestas on her blog to memorize 2 Bible verses a month. Well, I'm up for the challenge! This is my favorite verse right now! I just love it. I've had this note card by my computer desk for months now. I have it somewhat memorized but not completely embedded in my heart and soul like it needs to be so I thought I'd start out easy and memorize this one first. I can't imagine a better verse for me. First of all, it talks about how God delights in us. I LOVE that!!! And, I'm a pretty fearful person so Him calming my fears really appeals to me. But, not only does He calm our fears, He does it with LOVE!!! And, I am such a music person. I love music so much. It's one of my favorite things in life so thinking of Him rejoicing over little ole me with joyful songs makes my heart want to explode! I just love this verse so much. The mighty Savior part is pretty awesome, too. I already think I know the verse I'm going to memorize for the 15th....Jeremiah 33:3. I love that verse, too. I want to know it as well as I know John 3:16.

I am finally better!!! YEA!!! No more cold!!! I got stuff done today. I paid bills, which is something I dread so much but the feeling I get when I'm through is always such a relief. I got my New Year's cards in today so I got a lot of those addressed and sent out AND I even went to the A. Club and exercised today!!! I have missed exercising this week. I haven't exercised since last Sunday and really needed it. I sleep better when I exercise and just feel better all around. And, tonight, Mar and I finally got out and did something fun. We went to Kobe, our favorite restaurant, and then we went to see the Tale of Devareaux. It was a cute little cartoon. There's not a whole lot of movies out there that won't pollute our minds so when there's a cute cartoon out or any clean movie (so rare!), we'll go see those. We ended up sitting with the Ford's at Kobe. That was kind of fun. Turns out dad delivered one of his kids so that was neat. Our waiter was funny tonight, too. It was just a good date night.

This is one of my favorite pictures! My dad is always wearing a funny hat. He is not the least bit concerned about what anyone thinks of him and I love that! All the grandkids call him Poppy which I think fits him perfectly. I also think this picture is funny of Hannah beside him. :) I love my family.
Bye y'all! More later.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
