What's on your wall Wednesday

I have never done this before but think it's such a fun idea! Hopefully, I will link everything right. I got this idea from a blog I follow and she got this idea from Barb at Grits and Glamour...if you want to participate or see other walls on Wednesday, go on over there and take a peek.

I decided to show you what's on my bedroom walls. I read an article a few years ago on making your bedroom all about you and your spouse so I really tried to do that in our room...here are my walls in my bedroom.

Here's our bedroom...the sign above the bed says:

I have these photo colleges on both sides of the armoire. I made the first one after we had been married 4 years and the second one after we had been married 8 years.

I got the iron wall hanging above the fireplace at Ballard Designs. I would have never picked it out (not because I didn't like it but I just wouldn't have thought of it) but my friend was giving me decorating ideas for our house in Monroe and she picked this out for that house and I have loved it ever since. I have 2 of them. The other one is at Lamar's office, waiting to be hung, after 3 years. :s

This is what is hanging above the bathtub in our room...this is the only thing hanging on the wall in there. I still need to hang a lot.

This is on another wall. I think this Winnie the Pooh saying is so sweet and Rosie loves Winnie the Pooh and Macy did when she was little so it makes the saying even sweeter to me.

The hallway in our bedroom.

So, that's it for my bedroom. It is GORGEOUS outside today. It is 65 and sunny in February!!! Hannah and I are taking Rosie to the park this afternoon. Every day she asks Hannah when it's going to be warm again. :) Macy and I are about to go to lunch somewhere where you can eat outside. The low tomorrow is in the 30's so I'm ignoring all household cleaning (even though I've got small group at my house tonight) and enjoying this blessing of a day God has given us!!!

Wow, you are a beautiful decorator!!! Love all the sayings (especially the pooh bear one!). :)
Love all your signs. I love signs that say exactly what we are feeling. I love your bedroom. Very nice. And you are so lucky to have a fireplace in your bedroom. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Heather! Great things on your walls, especially love the photo collages. The iron work above the mantle really is perfect there and I never would have thought of that either. But I think my favorite is the Pooh saying, it's so true! Kathy

I love your things. I think the temperature here in Birmingham has gotten up to the low 70's, but that just means we're about to get storms and then cold again.
Lovely bedroom! I love the collages -- what a wonderful way to collect and treasure your memories.

Sorry, I was distracted by that gorgeous bed for a little while!
I do love the 100 year saying. It is so sweet, and just how one feels about who they love!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
