We've got a mama pigeon that built a nest in our gutter. I guess that tells you how bad our gutters need to be cleaned out. Of course, they are not getting cleaned until this mama has her babies. I love getting to see this pigeon every day. ;)

Yesterday, I had the whole day free so I went to OBU to visit May May. It was a GORGEOUS day!!! Absolutely beautiful! I would never ever be in my room if I lived there. I would be outside all the time, especially in this weather. We ate at Chick-fil-A outside and then went to a little candy store, Wal-Mart, and the car wash to clean my car.

Macy's dorm room. :) Hard to believe she's almost finished with her first year of college!!! That's a big accomplishment!!!

I love my sista! We went to Larry's Pizza with a bunch of people today and I ate just about all my calorie allowance in one sitting!! I pigged out and it was SO good!!! Calli and I went walking after that and then I came home and ate a piece of the Pioneer Woman's Red Velvet Cake which I think is probably the best thing I've put in my mouth...well, right up there with the Cheesecake Factory's Red Velvet Cake Cheescake. DELICIOUS!!!

I don't even think I've written on here that we traded my convertible in for a much cheaper car for Lamar. It's a Kia Forte and it's really neat. He loves being able to talk to me on the phone hands free. I don't think I've even taken a picture of that car. I need to! It's black. We've had all white cars for years now. Macy was so excited to finally have a different color car in our family. Lamar named his car, Lamar's Farte...HA! Men and gas!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
