I love it when I wake up in the morning and find a fun little surprise from Mar.
This was on my bathroom mirror this morning.  It says Hadoo-e-doodle, which is a name Rosy gave to me after she gave Mar the name Mar-e-doodle. :)  I love nicknames.  It feels weird when people who are close to me call me Heather. I very much prefer Hadoo over Heather any day...it's just more fun and nicknames mean a lot to me. :) Hadoo-e-doodle is even better!

I love the man God has blessed me with.  He's not perfect and neither and I, but I'd rather have Lamar with his "stuff" than another man that has different stuff (we all have our "stuff") without all Mar's good qualities.  I am SO blessed to have a man who treats me so well.  He daily tickles my back, says, "What can I do for you?" and then does it if there is something, calls me, texts me sweet messages, etc.  He also leaves me notes, washes my hair for me (and sometimes dries it), never hangs up the phone without saying, "I love you".  He tells me I'm his best friend and that he misses me when I'm gone. He chooses me over everything else.  He has a heart that is willing to do anything for me and our marriage.  I could go on and on and sometimes do but I have got other things calling my name so I need to finish this up.
I made these cupcakes on Monday to bring to my NLR group.  They took FOREVER to make but I think they are so pretty!!! I'm going to put the recipe on my recipe blog when I get more time.
Just look at that!! SINFUL!! There is an Oreo at the bottom of the cupcake and a hole in the cupcake to let the homemade whipped cream icing sink in.  YUM!! Next time, I'm going to make a different chocolate recipe..this one was not my fave.
Instead of having our regular meeting, we helped Lana move some of her stuff and then went to eat at a place called Casas.  I ate WAY TOO MUCH!!! It was fun to be with great friends, though.
They all made me feel so good about my cupcakes...they went on and on about how pretty they were.  I said I was never going to make them again but after that reaction, I think I will! :)
Last night, I went to Alive at 5 with Mom.  We met Shanny and Bee there. Our friend, Nancy, talked. She was wonderful, as always!! Afterwards, we went back to mom and dad's and Dad talked me into doing this "candling". HA! :) It was GROSS!!!!

Off to walk on this gorgeous day and then going to Maxx's football game. :)

More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
