Holiday House

I always get so excited every year about going to Holiday House and this year was no exception! I met at Mom's house at 10:30 and rode with her, Hannah, and the kids because I didn't want to have to deal with parking.  The parking was the worst it's ever been this year so I'm glad I rode with her. These were my two entertainers on the way there and back.  Banner has started reaching for things and when Rosy put her hand on his car seat, he put his over hers.  So sweet!!!
Sweet babies!
Macy drove down from Arkadoo to meet us there. :) Madie got out of school to come with us. I love it!
Rosy took this picture and it was SO funny!! People kept walking in front of the camera because they didn't see her and she kept moving to get a better view...it was adorable! She's gotten to be quite the little 4 year old photographer! :) Mom is missing from this picture...she was probably still parking the car.  That was an ordeal for her....and for Shanny, too.  Again, I am SO glad I rode with mom and didn't have to worry about it.
I love it that Rosy is hugging my leg.  What a sweetie! Macy is holding my cousin's baby, Braley. :)
We ran into Shanny's super sweet and fun friend, Penny. :)
LOL! :) Macy holding Banner.
What an ADORABLE cake!!!!!
We saw a ton of people we knew, which was fun.  One of mom's friends took this picture with mom in it. :) I ended up getting a few cute little dresses that I can wear with boots and tights and I finally got a pair of sweater Uggs that I've been wanting forever! I did not get a purse or coat this year like I do every year. :) I also did not buy any food like I always do.  Mom got Macy a pair of cute gray Uggs and I got her a blanket and pillow case that are SUPER soft...she loves soft things.  Sabrina got some amazing red cowboy boots! Madie got some great stuff, too. I know Hannah got something but I can't remember what. Shanny got a cute little gray sweater and some yummy meat! It was so much fun, like always. Can't wait to do it again next year!! :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
