FUN January SNOW!!!

This is a late post but I still wanted to write about the wonderful snow that we had at the first of January.  It was so beautiful and we got A LOT of it!!! I LOVE the snow!!! We had so much fun!!!!
The snow started on Sunday while we were eating in Franke's.  We all got excited!!! YAY snow!!!
In a couple of hours, we already had a few inches of beautiful snow. It was falling hard and there were big flakes. We decided to take Charlie Bear and Reggie on a walk. We ended up walking a couple of miles.  Reggie got so cold so we took turns putting him in our coat. Charlie Bear, on the other hand, thrives in the cold!! He loves it!! The colder the better for Charlie!!!
This was at the first of our walk. Pretty snow!
May and Reg.  This was at the first of our walk, too.  By the end of our walk, we were all wet with snow and actually sweating (even though is was sooooo cold) from holding Reg in our coats and from the exercise, too. :)
The next day, Mar's office was closed and the streets weren't really safe to drive on (a neighbor's moving truck got stuck outside our house on Sunday night and the movers ended up sleeping in the truck.  The next day they had to have 2 wreckers come get them out...even they had trouble so we decided we better not get on the roads.  We did end up making the movers lunch). We decided to walk to mom and dad's house....1.6 miles. :) Macy took Reggie's bed with her where he would have a place to sleep over there and Reggie wanted to get in REAL quick. :)  She held him in his bed and walked. :)
When we got there, the Nowlin's were there and the Pates.  The Smith's came later.  It was so much fun to have a snow day with family!!!
I love having a big family!! You are never lonely and always have friends who are there forever!!! :)
Reggie was SO tired.  He was sitting on Pug's lap and rested his head on mom's table and fell asleep. :) I love this picture of Abbs and Reg.  CUTE!!!
I sure do love my little sister and my sweet precious niece, Sunshine Love!! :)
Rosy in the gorgeous snow!! Look at the pretty trees!!!
We call Banner's little seat his "office". :) He's so much fun and growing so quick!!!
YAY for the Smith Fam!!!!
Abby and I made snow angels....Reggie was jumping all over us the whole time! :)
I love this picture of Hannah and Sabrina.
We had SO much fun in the snow!! We had snowball fights galore, made snow angels, and made a snowman!! I LOVE snow days!!! Oh, and Hannah made homemade hot chocolate and it was GREAT!!!

Mar was off work for 2 days and since this day he's had to take off 1 1/2 more days for snow.  It wasn't as spectuacular as the snow in these pictures but it was still beautiful and snowed for hours.

I hope we have a few more snow days but that they are on a weekend where Mar doesn't have to miss any more days of work...although I really enjoy him being home...that's a lot of days to miss.

Happy snow days to you!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Dresser Redo

I've been so bad at blogging in the past few years. I blog so I can remember. I painted a set of chest of drawers a few years ago in our other house and I loved the result. The only problem is I didn't blog about it so I have no record of what I did to it. I have no idea what red paint color I used. I thought I had it written on FB but I have searched and searched and I can't find anywhere where I wrote the paint color so now I have this wonderful red chest of drawers and have no idea what the color is. I didn't want that to happen again so I am making sure that I write about the chest of drawers in our master bedroom that I recently painted.  Here is the piece of furniture before Sorry about me in my robe in the mirror. LOL! I really wanted to lighten this up so I decided I would paint it white. I LOVE white and thought it would be great SO I used this chalk paint that I got at Michael's. I had already used it on my coffee table and thought it would be f...

Nashville Trip

Once again, it has been SO long since I have done a blog post. I think with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social media, I get overwhelmed. I haven't posted a Facebook album in so long, though, so I really wanted to start blogging again to be able to remember! This might be my last post for 2 years again, though! LOL! We will see. We took a business trip last weekend to Nashville (first time to ever go to Nashville) and it was so fun because on this business trip, Macy and Kevin got to come with us! I haven't written on here yet about it, but Kevin is now working for the same company Lamar works for and we are just THRILLED about it!!!  Our weekend trip actually started on a Thursday. The morning started with my first visit to the ER ever but more about that in another post. I was okay and am so so thankful for my precious dad who took me there and we got to bypass the waiting room. I have continued to be blessed by my Dad and his love for the Lord and oth...
