Wow, it's been a long time! I always want to blog but never get around to it. I have so much to catch up on...Thanksgiving especially! That's always my favorite time of year because of our big family reunion filled with fun, food, fellowship, and our family dance...which is my FAVORITE!! Hopefully, I'll get around to writing about that but for now here are my Christmas decorations.
My wonderful friend, Hope, made this door garland for me last year. SOOOOOO sweet and I absolutely love it! This is the second year it's been hanging. We lost a few ornaments bringing it down but I still love it so much and it's so much fun to see from the street. I want to leave it up all year.  The Christmas season is just not near long enough!! I think it should at least be 3 months..AT LEAST!!
I rearranged my living room.  I like the layout a lot better.  The couch used to be facing the fireplace.  I just think this is warmer.  We brought the bench in from our bedroom so there's more seating. We also added a table to the corner with 2 chairs so a lot of people can sit in there, which I love!
The table in the corner. After looking at this picture, I'm thinking there needs to be a small rug behind the bench. We'll see. I'll ask my sweet friend, Hope, who helps me. I saw a WONDERFUL Christmas rug that would have been perfect but I just don't want to spend money on a rug that I can only put out for a month every year. I'd rather get something that works all year long.
Sparkly Christmas ornaments.
I also put those ornaments in my lanterns.  I got the ornaments and the lanterns at the flea market. I have learned to always go there first. You can find GREAT stuff for cheaper!!
Closer view..this was Bunco night so that's why there are dice, paper, pencils, and a dinger. :)
Red, green, and white flowers.

One of these days I'm going to redo my sunroom and put a hammock hanging from the ceiling in there!!! :)
One of these days, I will also redo this room. I just got that polka dot table runner at Pottery Barn. I saw it and fell is love! I LOVE polka dots and love red and white! Now, to get rid of the burgundy wallpaper and those curtains....oh, the curtains! I just need to take them down. They came with the house and aren't my style.  I have been saying that I'm going to take them down every year and never do. I even have curtains from my old house that I love...they are taupe silk so they will match with anything. It's just a matter of putting them up...or actually having Mar put them up. :)
I like looking at my door from the inside and seeing the door garland. :)

Merry Merry Christmas everybody!!
Jesus is the reason for the season!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Dresser Redo

I've been so bad at blogging in the past few years. I blog so I can remember. I painted a set of chest of drawers a few years ago in our other house and I loved the result. The only problem is I didn't blog about it so I have no record of what I did to it. I have no idea what red paint color I used. I thought I had it written on FB but I have searched and searched and I can't find anywhere where I wrote the paint color so now I have this wonderful red chest of drawers and have no idea what the color is. I didn't want that to happen again so I am making sure that I write about the chest of drawers in our master bedroom that I recently painted.  Here is the piece of furniture before Sorry about me in my robe in the mirror. LOL! I really wanted to lighten this up so I decided I would paint it white. I LOVE white and thought it would be great SO I used this chalk paint that I got at Michael's. I had already used it on my coffee table and thought it would be f...

Nashville Trip

Once again, it has been SO long since I have done a blog post. I think with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social media, I get overwhelmed. I haven't posted a Facebook album in so long, though, so I really wanted to start blogging again to be able to remember! This might be my last post for 2 years again, though! LOL! We will see. We took a business trip last weekend to Nashville (first time to ever go to Nashville) and it was so fun because on this business trip, Macy and Kevin got to come with us! I haven't written on here yet about it, but Kevin is now working for the same company Lamar works for and we are just THRILLED about it!!!  Our weekend trip actually started on a Thursday. The morning started with my first visit to the ER ever but more about that in another post. I was okay and am so so thankful for my precious dad who took me there and we got to bypass the waiting room. I have continued to be blessed by my Dad and his love for the Lord and oth...
