Moving (backyard, dance room, bonus room)

So,we finally put our house on the market after thinking about it for a year...and it sold 13 days later. I sure wasn't expecting that! The new owners move in June 2nd so I have A LOT of work to do! I wanted to take pictures of all my rooms before we leave though so here are a few of them.
Wish the grass was greener for the picture. It's greener now. The realtor took this.
I love this room because it's happy! It was never used though. I'll miss seeing the striped rug and polka dots. Molly is going to take the bed. She's coming to get it this week.
I wanted to paint this room but didn't ever get around to it in the 7 years we were in the house! Lol! I was too busy working on the downstairs.
This was Macy's little chair she brought home from college. It's over in the cover with Sabrina's painting from the book she illustrated.
This is the realtor's picture.
And here's what we call the dance room. This room has best redone twice since we lived here. The first time I just took down wallpaper and repainted and the second, Lamar took out the closet and phone booth (yes, there used to be a phone booth upstairs) and made it into this dance room. He heard me say through the years how fun it would be to just have a room to dance in so he made me one. I've got the sweetest husband in the world!

Gotta sell the treadmill and bike or put them in storage!
Realtor's picture.
(Realtor's picture.)Our backyard. I'm really going to miss this yard A LOT! It's always 10 degrees cooler in my backyard because it's so shady.
I love my hanging laterns. My sister just told me you can get a latern stake so I can bring my laterns! Yay!
My sweet Charlie Bear!
These next few are all realtor pictures.

Our side yard looks a little shabby bc we have new grass growth from so many trees falling from the Christmas ice storm in 2012. Now the sun shines through that area and grass grows.

That's all for now. I'll put the rest of the rooms on before we go. I don't want to forget my house.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
