Guess where we're going tomorrow??? THE BEACH!!!! YEA!!! I am so excited! I have been away from the beach for far too long....and we're going to my favorite beach....Orange Beach....and staying in my favorite place...SeaChase. They have been closed down for almost 3 years from hurricane damage. I love Orange Beach because there is an outlet mall 30 minutes away and there is a grocery store right across the street from our condo. Also, the sand is white and it's not real crowded. I cannot wait to see the ocean! When I look at the ocean and see nothing but water for as far as I can see and beautiful waves, I think of God and His power. There is just something about the ocean that makes me feel Him more. I cannot wait!

Lynda Elliot's class was this morning. It was so good! I love her classes. This one is on how to become a resilient person......basically, how to bounce back after a crises. She told us to do a blessing journal each night and write down 10 things that we are thankful for. I started writing right then the blessing that had already happened just this morning. God is so good!!!

Last night, we went and ate at Johnny Carino's and Rosie Love was something else! That cute little thing just blesses my socks off! I am going to miss her like crazy while we're gone. I crave that little piece of sunshine when I'm not with her and if I don't see her every day, I have withdrawals. She was so funny last night. First she interrupted my dad while we were ordering to tell our waitress that she wanted "free fries". They didn't have them, so my dad did what any good Poppy would do and went to Popeyes next door and got her some!!! :) She was so happy and held one up and said "free fries" to the waitress with a big smile. Of course, I took some pictures.
HA!! I just love this baby girl! Look how happy she is!!!
She is feeding Poppy a french fry! :)
Lamar sent me flowers last week. He's so thoughtful. I can't imagine a better husband. He is just amazing and I'm truly thankful for him. He's definitely one of my 10 blessings! I think he'll be at the top of the list every night. I'm looking forward to sitting on the beach with him everyday. Just heavenly!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
