I had 2 root canals yesterday. Whoa, quite an experience. It was my 3rd root canal on one of my teeth. I didn't even know 3 root canals could be done on one tooth! Anyway, the endodontist was really nice and he did find a perforation and he filled it with MTA. There is a 50% chance that this tooth will survive. He also did a root canal on the tooth next to it. He sent me away with cookies, tons of pens, and chapstick. I will be refering him to our patients for sure. He's also a LSU grad. I have learned through this whole dental experience that Lamar really is the best dentist around. He's so gentle and I've never ever felt any pain with him while he's doing a procedure. No wonder everyone loves him so much. Macy's first softball game of the season is this afternoon and so is Pug's baptism. I am hoping to go to a hour of Macy's game and then to Pug's baptism where I can get at least a little of Macy's game. I know she'll do great. They have a new coach this year that really takes softball seriously so I bet the games will be more fun this year. :) It's a gorgeous day...the high is 75 so what a great day to get out! We're going to see Hannah and Justin this weekend. I'm excited because 1. We get to see Rosie Love 2. We get to sleep in that AMAZING bed at the Doubletree and 3. Hannah and I get to go shopping at the Promenade!!! :) I'm happy! Oh wait, I almost forgot #4.....MAGGIE MOOS!!!! :) My favorite! Okay, I'm outta here! More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
