Look how precious this baby girl is! She's in town this week and I am loving it! I took her to Walgreens and Wal-Mart tonight. She was so funny...she was putting all the things she wanted in the cart. When she wasn't looking, I'd put them back up. I did get her a little pail for the swimming pool and a doll, though. She was trying to change a plastic 2 inch doll's diaper last night. :) Didnt' work, so I got her a doll with a diaper that she could change. How I love this baby girl!

I've been zumba-ing lately. It's really fun! Molly introduced it to me a few weeks ago and I've been going quite a bit. I went yesterday and I'm going again tomorrow. I can tell I'm burning a ton of calories. I sweat the whole time and I usually don't sweat during aerobics. On zumba's website, it says you can burn up to 1000 calories an hour. I believe it! Whoa, it's definitely a workout!

Macy went to her dad's until Wednesday. She's such a good daughter. I don't even have to tell her to go see her dad...she just goes when she can. She leaves on the 7th for Extreme Expedition. I'll miss her. I'll be praying for her a lot, too! We (me, Mar, and May) ate at Chili's with Shanny, Phil, Zach, and Pug today after church and they were telling us about their wilderness trip in 9th grade. :s I wouldn't have wanted to go on a wilderness trip before but after hearing their stories, I'd really never want to go on one! :) Pug is going to start working at Lamar's office tomorrow. He wants to be a dentist and shadowed Lamar one day and loved it. He's going to help in the back and will get a good feel for what dentists do.

Well, I can't think of much else that is going on. I'm just thrilled Rosie Love is here and I get the whole week with her! She just keeps getting cuter and more fun!

Zephaniah 3:17 - For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
I know this is a popular verse but I just discovered it and feel like it is the perfect verse for me. I love thinking about God taking delight in His children. I also am a pretty fearful person, which I hate, so I love this verse talking about Him calming fears. I have always loved music so when I think about Him rejoicing over me with songs, it just gives me chills. The MIGHTY Savior part is pretty awesome, too. Anyway, I have this verse by my computer because I just love it!
More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
