Macy's senior pictures

I am so tired this afternoon! For some reason, I'm having a hard time recovering from Power Pump on Sunday. I'm still so sore. I've done Power Pump 4 or 5 times and have been fine so I don't know why I'm so sore but I'm not doing Power Pump again until Thursday. I took a break today and will do zumba tomorrow. I went to lunch with my sista today. It's always so good for me to be with girlfriends. I forget how much I need it until I'm with a soul sister and then I realize that I need to be spending more time with my sweet friends. Lamar and I are going to Pug's scrimage game tonight at War Memorial. Lamar's excited. He sure does love football. I love football season. I love the weather when it's cooler, the cheerleaders, the food, the fans, etc. It's just fun! I took Macy's senior pictures this weekend. Yep, I took them. They needed to be done quick so I just decided I'd do it. I told her if she didn't like them, we'd find someone to take them quick. Anyway, I think we got some pictures! Emily's dad told Macy he would edit 5 of them. He's a real photographer. He can take out things that Picasa :) can't, like pimples. We had a great time taking pictures (we took them at the Old Mill in NLR) but by the end, we were hot and sweaty! Here are some of my favorites.

Look at those gorgeous eyes!!!

Yeah, I know, there's shadows on her face but I think she looks so beautiful in this picture. Maybe Emily's dad can fix the shadows.

I know, I know ...it's blurry but I LOVE this picture!!! I just love it!

I sure do love these two! I took a bunch of May and Charlie and they were all really cute.
Macy loved this one! :)

This picture was so dark that you couldn't even see Macy's face...my camera doesn't have a force flash or if it does I can't figure it out. It's pretty frustrating because I almost always like to use a flash. Anyway, I went to Picasa and changed the lighting and now you can see her face. I thought this was cute.

I took a ton of pictures...I have more favorites than this but I'm out of time. Gotta go to the game now!

More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
