Rosie Hadoo, Hadoo Rosie, and Mar Hadoo :)

Oh, how I love this precious angel!!! What a complete blessing she is! I love this picture! It's blurry, I know, but it's hard to get a clear picture with a cute little toddler dancing around! :) Rosie brought me those "pom poms" (in her hair) to me and asked me to put them in her hair. Hannah asked Rosie if she wanted her to buy her some pom poms and Rosie said in the sweetest most cheerful voice, "I already have some...see, in my hair!". After that I was asking her what her whole name was and she said Rosemary. Then I asked her what her middle name was and she said, "Hadoo". I LOVE IT!!! Then I asked her what my middle name was and she said, "Rosie"!!! :) Okay, how sweet is that?! Then, Mar asked her what his middle name was and she said, "Hadoo". So, my day was totally made! Matter of fact, this was a couple of days ago, so I'd pretty much say, my week was made! :) I'm still smiling over it! I took Rosie to see Hannah do zumba on Monday. I've been wanting to take her to show her what zumba is all about. She's always doing zumba moves and she knows that we go to zumba so I wanted to show her. After about 30 minutes of zumba, we headed to the bathroom where there's a TV. I tried to find her some cartoons and passed by a repeat of the LSU football game. She, of course, wanted to watch it! I laughed so hard at her! It was the cutest conversation ever about football! Lamar would have LOVED it!!! She squealed when a LSU football player would catch the ball or get tackled and then she would ask all about it. She's in the "why" stage so I just try to explain and explain. I was surprised that I could answer any questions about football! :) She wanted one of the football players with long hair to cut his hair. Then when she saw a different player with his hair cut, she thought that guy had cut his hair. She kept saying, "Can I go there?" to the LSU football field. She said she wanted to go the football game and watch. She loves going to actual games. She loved football last year, too, but I didn't know if she would still like it this year...well, she does! When we got back from zumba, the first thing she said (which is what she always says at her house) was, "Come on back to my room" so I went back there and then she asked, "Is Mar gonna come over?". I told her that he'd come over later when he wasn't at work. I just love her! She just keeps getting cuter and cuter and cuter. Here's a picture of her watching football in the bathroom.

Just a tip, if y'all don't already know...if you lose your post (like I just did) all you have to do is press control and z and it comes back! Helpful tip from my teenager that has saved me a million times!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
