These are the tee-shirts that I designed for Lamar's office to wear at Race for the Cure. I thought they were pretty cute. I used Customink.com and they did a great job and had great customer service. I think we're going to get tees to give away at the office. I'm definitely going to use them again.

This is the front.

And, the back.

This is the sweet note that Lamar surprised me with. Aww...how sweet he is!!!

And then, when he got home from work, he had these in his hands!!! And...a yummy smelling candle. Wow...a surprise note, the most gorgeous roses and lilies I've ever seen, and a yummy candle!!! All I did to get all this was snuggle with Lamar in the middle of the night. That's it! Wow! I need to do that more often!

My hubby loves me!!! :)

Hannah and I went to the mall today. I haven't been in SO long but I found the most comfortable pair of sweats at an American Eagle outlet on sale for $19.99 when we were at the beach. I have worn those pants almost everyday since! So, I figured I should go to American Eagle at the mall and see if they had any more pairs there. They did and they were still on sale...and not only that, they were buy one get the second for 1/2 off, so I bought 2 pairs!! I'm set for winter! :) I look pretty sloppy, though, but I LOVE comfort!!! Anyway, when we walked in, we saw Allison, Jane, and baby Georgia!! It was so much fun to see them! All the sudden, Hannah says, "Hey, that baby looks just like Selah!" and I turned and looked and it as Selah!! I called Macy and she confirmed that a lot of the Davidson's are models for Dillard's. I thought that was fun and of course, got a picture. :) Macy ended up meeting us at the mall because I had to buy her Spanx to go under her dress for Sadie Hawkins this weekend. It's a good thing she is borrowing a dress because I spent as much on Spanx as I would have a dress! I tell ya, though...I laughed SO hard!!! The combination of Hannah +Macy + Spanx was almost too much! Macy was hysterical!

I FINALLY went and saw SkinStar tonight. I loved the atmosphere. I love that zebra chair and love the swirly painted wall. I am wearing my super comfortable sweats. It's like wearing the softest blanket ever on your legs! :) They used to have a "77" sewn in on them but I took that off because I didn't want to look like an old woman trying to look like a teenager. I also scraped off the American Eagle with my fingernails so now they are plain jane, which I'm happy about. :)

Look how cute this board is! Sabrina is so talented! By the way, I have had a ton of laser hair removal since since Sheldon and Sabrina own SkinStar (and Lamar and I own a machine, too...long story) and it is the best! I think my favorite is having no armpit hair! I used to get ingrown hairs and you could always see my follicles...not anymore! I love it! I only shave my armpits about once a month now and don't even really need to then. It's the best! Okay, I'm going to go make me a sandwich. Mar is reading to me right now a book on modesty. It's really good. He always reads to me while I'm on the computer. It's hard to pay too much attention but a sentence or two sinks in every now and then. :)
More later.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
