Happy Thanksgiving Eve

I think this is one of my favorite pictures of all time!!! HA! :) Look at that cute face!!!

Lamar and his office staff....they are all so sweet.

3 of my favorite ladies! Marsha and Judy are 2 of my mom's best friends and I truly love these women! They are so much fun! I've known them since I was a little girl (Judy and my mom were pregnant with me and Pipe together). Anyway, they were both in town at the same time. Fun times!

HAAAA!!! I love it! Hannah found these pajamas at Target and Macy put them on right away. I, of course, had to take a picture! :)

So, I was sick yesterday! I am NEVER sick! I don't quite know what to do with myself when I am sick. I laid in bed all day yesterday. I am so much better today and couldn't wait to get out of the house. :) The first thing I did was take Macy to the dentist. She did better than ever. She only cried a little before the appointment and only once before Lamar gave her a shot. She did GREAT! I am hoping that she's not too sore tomorrow. I just have to say that I am so impressed with Charlie, her dating friend (they aren't official yet but only date each other so nobody knows what to call them :s). He called her and read Psalms 4 to her when she was scared this morning. He also sent her a message on Facebook when she was grounded with all these Bible verses that were about anger. As a mother, I am super impressed with this guy. Lamar even likes him and he is beyond picky! Macy took medication, as usual, so she is upstairs sleeping it off. She'll probably sleep the rest of the day and possibly all night. I am about to go get my hair trimmed at Supercuts. I have had my hair cut at lots of places, cheap and expensive, and the girl who cut my hair the very best was a girl at Supercuts. I went there once today but it was packed in there so I'm hoping when I go back the wait won't be as long. Marci is on her way here as I write this!!! YEA!!! I am so excited! Thanksgiving has started!! What a wonderful holiday! I better get out of here where I can be back before Lamar gets home from work. More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
