I so wish I blogged every day like I used to on my other blog. By the time I get a chance to blog, there is too much to say and it's too overwhelming to try to get it all down so I have to try to condense everything. Right now, I have a cold. It's not fun. The good news is that I can still smell and taste!!! YEA! When I can't taste, I get grumpy, because life is no fun without yummy food! Lamar is off work all week and I am loving that! Right now he is next to me reading This Present Darkness. We're about to go on a walk. It's 63 degrees outside! It was 15 degrees this time last week! I guess I know why I have a cold...this crazy weather! :)

I love my girls! We had our first annual caroling extravaganza last week. It was so much fun and such a blessing! There were a lot of us!!! We caroled our neighborhood and everyone was so nice...some people took pictures of us, some sang with us, and this one lady got down on her knees, put on a Santa hat, and put her hands out and sang with us. It was so wonderful to see people's reactions. I can't wait to do it again next year.

We opened presents on the night of the 22nd because the girls left early on the morning of the 24th. We were going to open presents on the 23rd but they wanted to do it on the night of the 22nd which was great with us. We had so much fun opening presents. The girls had such fun reactions....especially Ellie, who got an X-BOX 360. She cried...it was so sweet! She screamed, too! HA! :) I have a video. I'll have to post it. :)

Marci came to town which was wonderful, as always! Here we are after Marcicize. :)

Every year mom takes anyone who wants to go to a play. This year the play was It's a Wonderful Life, last year it was Hello Dolly, and the year before that is was The King and I. It's always so much fun to go with the whole family. Here's just a few of us before the play.

And, here we all are at the Rep. We take a picture like this every year.
Last year's picture at the Rep.

HAAAAA!!!! I had to put this on here! My mom, Savannah, and Kathryn doing their hillbilly dances! :)
Well, we're off to go walking! I think we'll take Charlie Bear today...he'll love it!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
