Wouldn't it be wonderful if it snowed?! A white Christmas! Yesterday, it was kind of warm outside. Tomorrow, the low is 17, though! I love the cold weather. I love to bundle up and cuddle up, too! Last night, me, Mar, and Charlie Bear all laid in front of the fireplace and it felt so good. We had our carpets cleaned yesterday. They look so much better! It's nice to have all the stains out. This morning, Mar gave Charlie Bear a shower and now he is so clean and smells so much better! I blew him dry and he looks so soft and pretty. We also brushed him yesterday. It is always amazing to see how much hair comes out when we brush him!!! We had a trash bag full of his hair and I really think it was at least a couple of pounds! He looks skinnier now, too! HA! :) Kathryn and Ellie are coming today from Lousiana. It is always wonderful having them here. They are such sweet girls and so much fun, too! Macy's been out of town since Thursday. She took Andy, Michaela, and Kara to Missourri to see Andy's boyfriend's family. She's back in LR safe and sound now but I've yet to see her. She called and said she was in town but headed to a surprise party. Anyway, Mar and I have had the house to ourselves for a couple of days. This time next year, that will be the norm since Macy will be in college. Speaking of college, Asa is home from Bible school. Macy went and picked him up in Missourri last week. I am thinking that Macy may decide to go to that Bible school after all after she visits Asa over Spring Break. We'll see. Well, I have to go get the sheets out of the dryer and put them on the bed. More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
