Outdoor furniture

I LOVE this outdoor furniture from Pottery Barn!!! I love the colors and I love the zebra rug. I am thinking I can copy this without having to pay so much. I saw this green and brown at Target...surely it's cheaper. Maybe they have an outdoor zebra rug at Garden Ridge or Home Depot. I'll be on the lookout! I doubt I'll be able to find the pillows anywhere other than Pottery Barn but they are on back order until June 25th. I just love this. Lamar and I got a new outdoor umbrella today at Sam's. It's one of those umbrellas that has a side pole so you have a lot more room. He's so excited and now Charlie Bear just might go underneath there if it's raining. We'll see. :)
Justin and Lamar just got the fan hung in our office...YEA!!! :) Now, the fan just blends in with the ceiling. Rosie spent the day with us today...she is SO cute!!! She also spent most of the day with us yesterday. Life's just better when a 3 year old is around. She says the funniest things! Today I was talking to Macy about how messy the upstairs guest bathroom was when Sandra came to stay at our hosuse (I was out of town and just discovered it today). I was telling her how embarrassing that is. I went on for a few minutes and then Rosie said, "We are not going to talk about this anymore...okay, Hadoo, we're not going to talk about it anymore....now, let's talk about dancing". HA! :) A little while later I tried to spell out something to Macy about the bathroom, Rosie said, "I said we're not going to talk about the toilet anymore". That girl is so smart! Nana and Poppy made it to Nebraska. I called and Mom said they had just come in Marci's house and Lillian was screaming.....Sushi Roll (her guinea pig) had a baby and just brought it upstairs. HA!!! :) Life at the Epp house! Never boring!!! :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
