Razorback game

I have been the worst blogger lately! I wrote a LONG entry on our beach vacation last week while Lamar was listening to the LSU game at my parent's house but I never posted it because I have to add pictures and that takes forever. At least I have it saved so I can go back and read it when I want to remember our vacation. Anyway, I know when I used to scrapbook, they would just say to start where you are instead of going back because otherwise it would be too overwhelming, so that's what I'm doing. :) We went to Fayetteville for the Razorback game this weekend. It was so much fun. We ended up staying in furnished apartments that rent out for a night or two. We were so fortunate to find a place to stay!!!
Shanny and I went downstairs after half time to meet our sweet friend, Pam, and the Hog just happened to walk by us so of course, we got our picture with him. :)
After the game, we met back up with Pam and she gave us cakes she had made for us. She makes the most awesome cakes!!! Pam was our neighbor when we lived in Fort Smith and we reconnected through Facebook. She is one awesome person!
Every time we made a touch down, fireworks went off!!! :)

We sat in Hog Heaven. GO HOGS!!! We lost but it was still so much fun. I saw so many of Macy's friends so that was neat. These pictures are out of order but that's okay.
Okay, so just a quick update on what's been going on in m life.
* I got a new Mac!!! It's my first Mac and I LOVE it!!! I had 2 PC's crash in 6 months so I decided I was tired of that and got a Mac laptop and it's great!!!
*Macy is LOVING college life!!! I am doing great being an empty nester. It's crazy because I'm a little bit relieved. I listen to my friends talk about all the things their kids are going through with teachers, friends, etc. and my thoughts are, "Wow, that's over for me!!!" and then I feel relieved! I also get to see May May a lot. She comes home for a few hours every now and then and I went up there once to spend the afternoon with her. I've seen her every week so life is good! I'm so so proud of her!!!
*Loving sweet princess, as always! She keeps getting cuter and cuter!!! She's the smartest 3 year old I've ever seen. She is so precious to me and I thank God for the sweet bright spot He's given all of us with her!
*Went to the Hiding Place ballet last night...it was really good!
*I'm busier than ever with Macy being gone....Mar and I have been going out of town a lot on the weekends for different things. We were going to go to Kansas City this weekend but Macy's coming home so we're staying.
*Marci came home last weekend for a couple of days!!! We had so much fun, as always!! We danced in mom and dad's kitchen. :) I love my family so much! I'll have to do a post on that later.
*Doing the Esther Bible study and loving it. The highlight for me is getting to listen to the Beth Moore videos every week. She makes me laugh and cry every time. What a blesssing!
*I am listening to a thunderstorm right now (rainboots tomorrow?) :) ....I sure do love the sound. I really need to go to bed. I have to be at a meeting at 9:15.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
