Last week, my sweet friend, Pam, brought her daughter, Lizzy, to Children's to have some tests done.  It was so wonderful to see Pam.  My mom, my sister, Shanny, and I all met Pam at the hospital to keep her company while she sat with Lizzie.  Pam is the most giving person ever. She always comes bearing gifts!! She has a business where she makes the most amazing cakes EVER....they are super moist and delicious!!! She always brings us a cake or something like that. She is just so giving. We all love her!! We grew up in the same neighborhood in Fort Smith.  We moved when I was 6 but until then we played together on a regular basis.  Right after this picture was taken, Shanny got to meet Michelle Duggar. She LOVES the Duggars and says Michelle makes her want to be a better Christian. Shanny was definitely blessed getting to meet Michelle but I think Michelle was even more blessed getting to meet Shanny. Shanny prays for Josie and got to tell her so and also got to tell her that their show makes her want to be a better person. :) Who would that not bless?! Mom got to meet Michelle, too. I had just left the hospital to go to my doctor's appointment where I got officially diagnosed with IC. I already knew I had it but it's now official and I'm on all kinds of meds that are helping TREMENDOUSLY! I am so thankful!

Me, Mom, Pam, Shanny, and Elizabeth

We (me, Macy, Andy, Selah, Emma, Rosy, Hannah and Justin) went and climbed Pinnacle (well most of it anyway) on Saturday.  Here's a picture of May May and Selah. Aren't they cute?!

Hannah and Justin actually stayed at the base of Pinnacle because Hannah couldn't make it with her extra "load". :)

Rosy was so sweet to Selah. She kept trying to be her little caretaker.  She's going to be the best big sister. :)

On Sunday at lunch, we went to Franke's, as usual, and Rosy sat next to Hannah and started crying and said, "I wanted to sit by my best friend".  She was talking about me!!! :) Is that not the sweetest?! She always sits in between me and Mar at Franke's and we had already sat down and just didn't think....Macy was next to me. We immediately made a spot for Rosy in between us and I felt like a million bucks! ;)

Well, Lamar and I have decided that we are going to try to sell our house and downsize.  Our house is SO big for just 2 people.  Macy is hardly ever home and we just don't use all the space. I hardly ever even go upstairs.  We're also going to try (again) to sell our convertible and get a cheaper car.  We're just going to try and do things a little differently.  Anyway, I don't know if our house will even sell but we're praying about it.  It seems like whenever I get my house how I want it, we sell.  That's okay, though, because I still had a lot left to do on this house.  I will miss my kitchen and huge closet but other than that, I'm good.

Well, Lamar just called and is on his way home so I better go.  More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
