This n' That

Hannah got her hair cut last week and had it straightened, too. I think her hair is so beautiful! I sure wish I would have gotten her hair!!! :) I would LOVE to have that gorgeous thick hair! Rosy got her Mama's hair. Hannah's baby boy is due on June 6th, actually that is when he will come because she's having a C-section. Hannah and Justin decided on a name...Banner! I love it! It's not common at all and it has a good Bible meaning. Rosy has been so funny.....she has been calling her baby brother Amadeus! When people ask her what his name is, she says, "Amadeus"! HA! :) We keep telling her his name is Banner and she insists that it's Amadeus! SO funny!

Macy came home this weekend for Easter. I love having her home. She has grown up so much this year in college. She takes the trash out on her own without us asking! She also cleans up but she's always done that (except for in her bedroom). Madie came over on Friday night and they cooked a ton of veggies...they all tasted pretty bad but that's okay. :) Macy burned the peppers and mushrooms and then stirred the burnt part in. :) She also cooked onions that were organic and they tasted horrible! Madie said it's because it was organic. Anyway, it was funny! Macy's last day of her freshmen year in college is May 7th! Almost a month away! YAY! I'm excited she'll be back with us this summer. She's going to work for Lamar part time.

We went to our Easter service this year on Saturday night. The pastors asked the services to try to come on Saturday night or 8:00 am service on Sunday morning to leave room for the 9:30 and 11:00 services. Well, they weren't expecting so many people to show up. There were over 1,800 people at the Saturday night service. It was held in the Warehouse and they had to open up the chapel because the Warehouse was completely full. We ended up in the chapel (which was also completely filled up) and watched the Easter service and worship on video. It was still good, though. I was impressed at how quick Fellowship got the chapel ready and the video going. It was nice to have Sunday morning free. We were able to sleep in and I was able to get my casserole in the oven and make the icing for my cake with no stress. I think it would be great if Fellowship started a Saturday night service. :)

We always go to Franke's after church every Sunday so we decided to go after church Saturday night. Rosy loves Franke's and gets a cupcake every week. She was so happy because the cupcakes had pink icing on them Saturday night. :) I got Rosy's Easter dress for her last weekend at Cupcakes and Caterpillars...Macy and Hannah went with us. She tried on at least 10 dresses. She was so funny.....she would try on a dress and then go out of the dressing room to twirl and look at herself in the big mirror. It was adorable! They had the cutest dresses. This was Rosy's very favorite because of all the pretty colors. Lamar has a sticker on his shirt that Rosy got in her Sunday school class......she put it on me and then I put it on him. :) Lamar just called and he's headed home so I better boogie! More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Dresser Redo

I've been so bad at blogging in the past few years. I blog so I can remember. I painted a set of chest of drawers a few years ago in our other house and I loved the result. The only problem is I didn't blog about it so I have no record of what I did to it. I have no idea what red paint color I used. I thought I had it written on FB but I have searched and searched and I can't find anywhere where I wrote the paint color so now I have this wonderful red chest of drawers and have no idea what the color is. I didn't want that to happen again so I am making sure that I write about the chest of drawers in our master bedroom that I recently painted.  Here is the piece of furniture before Sorry about me in my robe in the mirror. LOL! I really wanted to lighten this up so I decided I would paint it white. I LOVE white and thought it would be great SO I used this chalk paint that I got at Michael's. I had already used it on my coffee table and thought it would be f...

Nashville Trip

Once again, it has been SO long since I have done a blog post. I think with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social media, I get overwhelmed. I haven't posted a Facebook album in so long, though, so I really wanted to start blogging again to be able to remember! This might be my last post for 2 years again, though! LOL! We will see. We took a business trip last weekend to Nashville (first time to ever go to Nashville) and it was so fun because on this business trip, Macy and Kevin got to come with us! I haven't written on here yet about it, but Kevin is now working for the same company Lamar works for and we are just THRILLED about it!!!  Our weekend trip actually started on a Thursday. The morning started with my first visit to the ER ever but more about that in another post. I was okay and am so so thankful for my precious dad who took me there and we got to bypass the waiting room. I have continued to be blessed by my Dad and his love for the Lord and oth...
