Well, we're putting our house up for sale. We are going to downsize. I think it's the smart thing to do because it's just me and Lamar in this big house almost all the time. Macy is here on some weekends and for 3 months in the summer but we still have a really big house for just 3 people. It's rare that I ever even go upstairs. I decided to just start looking online at houses and the day I did, I found this adorable house. Not only is it white with black shutters with dormer windows but it also has a front porch. It has my name written all over it. It's in our price range, too, and in a good neighborhood. They are asking less than $100 a square foot which is very rare for a cute house in a good neighborhood. It's also 2,700 square feet...not too big and not too small. Anyway, Lamar called our realtor today to make an appointment to see it. We were going to go on Friday. Well, Virginia called back to say it already has a contract on it. :( I'm disappointed but I trust the Lord 100%! Look how cute this house is, though.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this house!!! I could just see me sitting on that front porch in a porch swing with Charlie Bear by my side. Also, I really really liked the inside. Oh well. God knows what He's doing and where we're supposed to be. He also knows when and if our house will sell. There is a house on our street that has been for sale for over a year. It has a contract on it now, though. I love the neighborhood we're in now. I've always loved this neighborhood. It's the safest I have ever felt. I also like our house a lot. I understand about downsizing and that is what we need to do, though. I'm a little sad about it but the house above made me feel a little better about it. I trust the Lord completely, though. He knows things that I could never know and I trust Him with our future.

Little princess had a swimming lesson yesterday. Her instructor was a man and the other 2 kids in her lesson were boys. Rosy does much better with girls and she's already scared of the water some. She got in the water, which was good, but then she wouldn't jump to the guy and I personally don't blame her. I thought he moved too fast for her. Hannah and I went in the office and cancelled her other appointments. She's going to learn but maybe with a girl instructor, like me or Hannah. :) I taught Macy to swim, after all.
I was doing the dishes today and looked out the window and saw this pretty bush with pretty pink flowers. It was a nice surprise. I had to take a picture. We're not going to be in the house forever so I want to cherish things like this. See the rose to the right of the picture...that's a rose from the beautiful bouquet on top of Ree's (my grandmother) casket. We all took a rose. It's been sitting there since December and I think of Ree every time I see it.

I have had a problem with all my plastic storage containers for awhile now. I can never find the top that goes with the bottom.  Today I was putting up the dishes and saw some more tops hidden away and decided to put the tops with the bottoms.
Much better!!! :) Now I won't have to scramble around looking for a top to fit the bottom! YAY! I threw away the extra tops and extra bottoms that didn't have a pair.  I really need to start organizing my house and going through stuff to give away, throw away, and to keep.  There is supposed to be a curb side pickup for anything people want to give away sometime this week....I think it's the 9th but I put up the sheet while I was cleaning and now I can't find it. That happens to me quite a bit.  Hopefully, I'll find it.

I realize I've blogged twice today but I need to catch up.  After getting my blog made into a book, I realize how much I love having a place to go back and read about our lives. If I don't blog, I don't remember the small things like I do when I blog.  I still have to put up Easter pictures and write about that so I may blog 3 times today!! :) Lamar's at his Tuesday night meeting...he just started a few weeks ago and really loves it. I'm headed to go walking. I've been waiting until it's a little cooler.  Right now it's 80 but it's just going to have to do because Lamar will be home soon and I want to be able to spend the evening with him.  Off to walk! :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
