Showers

Banner's aunts had a shower for Hannah and Banner last week at Shanny's house.  It was great! LOTS of people came which is always nice.  Hannah is having Banner on June 2nd!

I LOVE these girls!! Cathy (far left) is my Bible study leader at Fellowship. I had the honor of co-leading with her last fall. It was great! She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I just love her!! She calls people Love Bug and I just love that!!! Becky is in our Bunco group and hilarious!! She makes me laugh so hard! I love funny people!!! Julie was in our Bunco group but had to leave after a year because she has lots to do!! Her husband is one of the pastors at our church.  She is also going to start doing hygiene at Lamar's office a couple of times a month which is super fun!!! And, Shanny, is my sweet sister, of course!

I loved Hannah's shower because so many of my favorite people from different groups were all in the same room.  It was so heart warming to me.  These are some of the girls from our NLR Ladies' Group.  I love these girls so much! Calli (far left), is my soul sista, and needs to join our group! Look how cute Hannah is! She is really little, too. She has only gained 20 pounds and it's ALL baby!!!

Mom, Moll, May, Abbs, and Sabrina at the shower. By the way, I made Paula Deen's three cheese artichoke dip....oh my goodness, it was amazing!! I had 2 helpings!!

The next night, we had a shower at my mom's house for Allyson.  It was lots of fun! Mom made artichoke dip, too, and it was delicious! Her recipe was different from mine but still really really good!! There sure have been a lot of events with food lately and there will be more because my anniversary and birthday are coming up next week and I will FOR SURE be enjoying my favorite foods! :)

More later! :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
