SO LONG, ARKADOO!!!

We moved Macy out of her dorm room on Monday night.  The year FLEW by!!! It seems like just yesterday, we were moving her in...the same group, too!
Move in day! Andy, Addy (Macy's little sis), and Courtney (Macy's roommate first semester, who is super sweet and always the first one to help out.....love that sweet girl!).
Move out day.  Abby, Andy, May, and Courtney.  Addy wasn't there this time.  Ryan (Macy's dad) was going to come today and get Macy's carpet but Lamar was able to do it so Ryan didn't have to make that drive just to grab carpet.
Such sweet helpers...notice Lamar's face behind the bed bars.
REALLY glad that Macy is HOME!!! She's been commuting all week and will be finished TOMORROW!!! YAY!!!
Macy has had a hard month and that's all I'm going to say about that.  Anyway, Macy did a happy dance on the way out!! Abby and Macy were saying, "Peace out!!"  HA! :) Don't know that Macy is going back next fall. :( There are some AWESOME girls there that are sweet as pie and Ouachita is a GREAT school! We'll just see where she is this summer. Abby only has ONE MORE YEAR and she'll graduate!! YAY!!!
I look really weird in this picture but I had to post it because I had to write about this ice cream!! :) We went to Pizza Shack after moving and Jilly (Macy's sweet, godly loving, encouraging friend) got That's how I Roll and I tried a bite and OH MY GOODNESS, to die for!! That is the BEST ice cream I've ever had.  It didn't sound like something I'd like but I LOVED it.  It's better batter ice cream, chunks of vanilla cake, cinnamon, and pecans.  I don't like nuts in things so I didn't think I would like it at all...it was amazing!! Tasted like a cinnamon roll!! Delicious!!! :) I got Birthday Cake Remix and it was really good, too.
Happy Macy with just a couple of the MANY people who love her!! (Macy and I actually made a list the other day of all the people who love her and it was LONG....I was like, "Macy, do you know how rare this is to have this many people who love you and are your friends?" Seriously! I guess it's one of the many perks of having a huge family and having a ton of friends who go along with it). Andy is like Macy's sister and Abby is Macy's cousin (and my niece), who CRACKS ME UP!! Go read her blog sometime if you want a good laugh. She is seriously one of the funniest people I know and she always makes me feel like a million bucks! I always say I want to put her in my pocket and carry her around all day with me. :)
Finally back home after a long evening.

Well, we're headed to the beach SOON!! I'm so excited!! People always say to not write that you are going out of town on your blog, Facebook, or Twitter so I will just say that we have a housesitter/dogsitter and an alarm!!! :)

Headed to a funeral, the mall, and then hanging out with my one of my sweetest lifelong friends, Heather, before we bring dinner to the Dugger's again.

More later! ;)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
