Hannah came over a few days ago and Banner and Rosy both had on their matching LSU shirts! :) Actually, Rosy's is a shirt from OBU...they have the same colors and mascot as LSU.

I happened to have on my I love Arkansas shirt. HA! :)

Macy and I met Hannah, Rosy, and Banner at the mall. Banner did so good. I think he likes to shop....good thing because he was born into our family!!! :)
Kathryn came to visit from Lafayette!!! YAY!!! Rosy was so excited to see her...we all were! Here she is holding Banner for the first time.

We went to the Purple Cow on Cantrell (it was less crowded) last night.  They have the best vanilla malts!
May, Justin (he's home for the weekend from his internship in Stuttgart), Hannah, Banny, and Katty.
After Purple Cow, we went over to mom and dad's to see Jeralu, David, Jengi, Dempsey, and baby Adelyn.  Kathryn and Rosy played Strawberry Shortcake in mom and dad's room. :)
Macy and Adelyn...isn't she adorable?!

Justin, Jeralu, mom, and David talking.

Adelyn pulled Ban's hair.

Aww, poor little guy.

Today we went to Burgess for lunch and then to Red Mango to get yogurt. They have the BEST mixed berry yogurt parfait EVER!!! I get kiwis instead of bananas.  It's delicious and healthy!!! YUM!!!

Then, we went to Mardel's to get Kathryn a Bible.  Lamar has been wanting to get her one ever since the beach.  We went to Lifeway once but the Bible engraver wasn't there. I'm kind of glad because Kathryn got to pick out the exact Bible that she wanted. :)

Hannah and her family are over now.  Mar is making homemade peach ice cream, which is delicious, especially with our vanilla that we got from Haiti.  He's also made his amazing cheesecake this morning.  Anytime he makes it, people always say, "This is the BEST cheesecake I've ever had!" I have got to put his recipe on my recipe blog because he's made it up from several different recipes.  Kathryn and I were supposed to walk with Calli tonight but there is a heat advisory and it's supposed to feel like 97 degrees at 8:00 pm so it looks like I'll be walking on the treadmill today. The good thing about that is that I get to listen to Joel Osteen or Joyce Meyer and that's always good for my soul.  We're headed to mom and dad's tonight to see my my cousin, Justin.  He and his wife just adopted a baby and I am SO excited for them!!

LOVING having Kathryn here...as always!! Macy and Kat hiked up Pinnacle this morning to watch the sunrise. I wish I would have gone but I just can't get up at 5:00 am and climb a mountain! :) Also, the snakes and poison ivy are a little scary this time of year.  I LOVE climbing Pinnacle when it's cool outside....it's great exercise and it's gorgeous!

I'm off the walk on the treadmill...happy, happy, joy, joy. :s

More later. :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
