I LOVE my iPhone 4!!!! :)

I got my iPhone 4 last week. I was a little bit reluctant to order one because of all the bad reviews about the antenna and reception. I had the 3G and have really been wanting the video recorder for awhile now.  I went to the AT&T store and they didn't have any iPhone 4's in stock but I got to play with one and loved it. After that, I decided to "bite the bullet" and order one from AT&T.  The website said it would probably take 10-14 days to even ship it but I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon and got it the next Tuesday...only 2 business days. I was impressed.  I immediately synched my phone and have absolutely loved my phone ever since.  I have actually had much better reception with this phone.  The thing I love the most is that it is SO MUCH FASTER!!! I have only had one dropped call since last Tuesday and that was today while going under a bridge on the freeway.  With my other iPhone, calls would be dropped almost every single time I was on the phone. It was horrible.  I also didn't get reception in my house on my bed.  Now I do!! YAY!! :)  I sold my 3G on Nextworth.com and got $96 for it.  They even pay for shipping.

Tomorrow, we are having our new mattress delivered!! I am SO happy!! We ended up only having to pay $157 for our it.  It was a total God thing!!! We bought the mattress we have now almost 5 years ago when me moved from Louisiana.  We decided to get a king size bed so we needed a new mattress.  Well, I don't know exactly when our bed started sagging but I know that it really does. It interferes with my sleep.  Lamar sleeps right up next to me every night (the amount of space we take up is less than a twin) :) and I always sink towards him.  Anyway, we were on a search for a mattress a couple of months ago. We stopped at one furniture store and found a mattress that we LOVED but I thought we should keep looking and see if we could find anything cheaper.  I didn't really know where many mattress stores were so I looked on my iPhone and found a store close by to where we were.  We went in there and started lying on the beds.  When I told the man the kind of mattress we had, he asked where we bought it and I told him a store that had moved and I didn't remember the name.  He said, "Well, maybe you bought it from us" and looked on his computer and sure enough, we had purchased the mattress from the same store (they had moved so I had no idea).  He went on to tell us that we had a 10 year warranty on our mattress!!! He printed out a receipt for me and told me what web page to go to.  Now, sending in the info was not the easiest thing in the world but it was worth it. We had to take all our bedding off, including mattress pads, and take pictures with a golf ball and measure the inches that it was sinking, etc.  They would send someone out and do it for you but I just thought we might as well do it ourselves.  I ordered the pictures, answered all the questions, and mailed in our request. They said it would take 2-3 weeks but would be quicker if we sent in pictures.  When we hadn't heard from them in 3 weeks, Lamar called.  They returned the call a couple of days later and told us they would replace our mattress!! :) So, we ended up saving lots of money!! The funny thing is that when I was lying on all the mattresses, I picked the same mattress we have now...just an updated version.  I love our bed because it's super soft...it just sinks.  They called it the "banana effect".  :) We also have the most comfortable memory foam with padding on top of our mattress.  I got it at Target and LOVE it!! The only problem is we have a queen on our king bed.  We just stuck it in the middle of our bed hoping it would get rid of the sinking some. :) Now that we won't have a sinking bed, I want the king size memory foam.  They aren't selling them at Target anymore. :( I went to Wal-Mart and got the memory foam there and it was way too hard.  I ended up giving that to Macy...she loves it...and now plan on just keeping our queen size memory foam from Target on our king size bed. :)

It's storming here now. I love it!! This summer has been so hot! I cannot wait until it gets cooler and I won't be drenched every time I come home from walking. :s Today, Macy and I met mom, Rosy, Jeralu, and most of her grand kids at the River Market and had lunch.  I was disappointed because Brown Sugar Bakery was closed and I was really looking forward to trying one of their cupcakes.  Oh well, the company was great. :) Mar's about to be home from work so I better boogie.  I gotta to the grocery store (dread), Wal-Mart, and the UPS store to mail my iPhone 3G.

More Later! :) WHOA...the weather is crazy...I think it's hailing.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Dresser Redo

I've been so bad at blogging in the past few years. I blog so I can remember. I painted a set of chest of drawers a few years ago in our other house and I loved the result. The only problem is I didn't blog about it so I have no record of what I did to it. I have no idea what red paint color I used. I thought I had it written on FB but I have searched and searched and I can't find anywhere where I wrote the paint color so now I have this wonderful red chest of drawers and have no idea what the color is. I didn't want that to happen again so I am making sure that I write about the chest of drawers in our master bedroom that I recently painted.  Here is the piece of furniture before Sorry about me in my robe in the mirror. LOL! I really wanted to lighten this up so I decided I would paint it white. I LOVE white and thought it would be great SO I used this chalk paint that I got at Michael's. I had already used it on my coffee table and thought it would be f...

He is Risen INDEED!!!

Happy Easter!!! Ahhhh...I'm just SO SO thankful that Christ ROSE and we are free!!! WOOHOOOO!!! I alway love the Easter service at church at this was no exception. The worship is always my favorite and every year I wish I would have gone to both services. This year our church had the Arkansas Symphony up there with them and the music was just so beautiful! All the songs were such wonderful songs about Christ rising again. And there was a huge wooden cross on the stage that was so beautiful. I, of course, had to take a picture but the picture doesn't quite do it justice. It was just so beautiful.    Brandon preached the sermon and it was so good, too. After the sermon, we sung an old hymn that I love.....Because He Lives. Easter was even more special today because Kevin and Macy were with us. This was their one year dating anniversary and they have now been married 15 days! This weekend was their first time here since they have been married. We got to see them last weekend...
