This is my second blog post today. I'm trying to catch up.  I have been since the beach. I haven't even written about the beach yet. :s Oh well! Maybe one day I'll get around to it.

Here we are (my sisters and I, minus Marci and Sabrina, with our mom) eating at Trio's for my mom's birthday lunch.  Whenever we do our birthday lunches, we all go around the table and tell what we like about the person who is having the birthday.  Well, Rosy was so so cute...she went on and on about the things she liked about Nana.  It was so precious! One of the last things she said was, "I like Nana because Nana likes me!" Adorable!

Macy has been working part time at Lamar's office this summer. I have also been working every other Friday so on Fridays, our little family is all there at the office. :) Macy has learned a lot about dentistry and fast. She knows about insurance already.  I can't stand dealing with insurance.  Ugh!
Banner's first visit to our house.  Our Ladies Group met Hannah and Banner at On the Border for dinner one night.  They rode with me so they came to our house before we left.  Here Banner is with Charlie Bear.  Charlie Bear was so funny.  He didn't quite know what to think about Banner.  Hannah thought CB was scared he was going to do something wrong...he wouldn't even look at him. HA! :)

At On the Border.  Isn't he cute?! I think he looks like my dad and my nephew, Zach.

I am ready for a new blog design. I love this one but I'm ready for a new look.  I am going to meet with my NLR Ladies Group tonight.  One of our girls is having a hard time and whenever that happens to any of us, we all get together as soon as possible and talk and pray.  I love our group!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
