Weekend with Katty Doodle :)

We had a great weekend with Kathryn.  I love getting my Katty "fix". She's always such a joy to be around.  She's just a sunshiney person that always sees the positive in every situation and every person.  Love that girl!! Here are a few of the many pictures that I took.  My favorite camera broke this weekend so I immediately went and replaced it.  I had some Best Buy cards so I didn't have to pay much.  The last one I had was hot pink (which I LOVED)...this one is baby blue, which I like a lot.
On Saturday night, we went over to mom and dad's to see my cousin's newly adopted baby girl!! She is adorable!!! Her name is Tenley Addison.

Isn't she adorable?! Macy was in heaven holding this baby girl!
Look at these two with this precious baby. I cannot believe that I didn't get a picture of Lorna and Justin (the parents).  I've been scatterbrained lately with my picture taking.
It was so much fun to have so many babies at the house! Mom is holding Banner, Jengi is holding her granddaughter, Adelyn, and Macy is holding Tenley.
Mom and dad have a great view of sunsets from their house. I love to go over there and get this view.  We don't have a view of the sunset from our house so we love to take this in.
Aww, I love this. Kathryn is such a sweetheart. She loves her daddy and makes him feel like a million bucks! Look at that sunset! Gorgeous! AND, it just keeps getting prettier.....
I just can't not post these sunset pictures.
Walking to the end of the street to take in more of the sunset.  Mar loves these 2 girls with everything in him. They are his special bright spots.  Mine, too! :)
Look at that sunset! It's just SO pretty!! I never get tired of looking at sunsets.
After that gorgeous sunset (and LOTS of food...Mar made his cheesecake and peach ice cream) we went walking.  Calli and I took Hannah and Kathryn on our 5 mile walk.  It was so much fun!! I love to exercise with friends and family.  It was actually not as hot as usual....it could have been because it was 11:00 pm!! :)
Calli with Louie.  HA! :) That bunny is SO CUTE!! Or, as that cute little girl says in Despicable Me..."HE'S SO FLUFFY!!!" :)
On Sunday, we went to church and then went to Franke's.  Here Kathryn is holding sweet Banner.
Kathryn and Rosy at mom and dad's after church.  Rosy LOVES Kathryn.  Kathryn is so sweet to love on her and play with her so much.  After this, we went to Academy and got Kathryn some running shoes.  She was wearing shoes that weren't very supportive and was twisting her ankle a lot.  We went walking with Calli again later that evening and Kathryn loved her shoes. She said it was liking walking in a cushion.  LOVE New Balance running shoes! They're my fave!

Kathryn left Monday morning and we already miss her tons!! Lamar is always trying to get her and Ellie to move her. I'm always telling him to leave them alone about it but he never gives up. ;) He would be in heaven with all his girls here.

We love you, Katty doodle!!! (Rosy ends all of our names with Doodle). :)

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
