Y'all, it is HOT!!! I mean, seriously, this is the hottest summer I can remember.  You know it's hot when you are excited that the heat index is just 103 instead of 111 at 7:45 at night!! Ugh!! Cannot wait for cooler temperatures!
Last week, we had a heat advisory all week.  This week, we have another one until Tuesday.  Charlie Bear has been so clean this summer. I can't let him outside much.  The funny thing is, he doesn't want out.  When we had a break from the heat, he wanted out again. I think he can sense from inside how hot it is outside.

Look how tiny Banner looks next to my huge brother, Sheldon.
My Pinkalicious Sunshine! :) Rosy was spending the night with mom and dad and I read her a book before bed. Sheldy came back and listened while I read, too.  Sheldy's such a good uncle.  He is great with kids!
Every time we go to Izzy's, Rosy gets this dessert! I don't blame her...it is GOOD!! She ordered a chocolate milk shake to go with her meal and when she realized that her milkshake was considered dessert, she gave her milkshake to Poppy, who would never drink it in a million years..he is WAY too healthy to ever eat something yummy like that.
Look at little Ban's hand on his daddy's hand....so sweet!
Our fam at a shower for a friend.  It was at Marlsgate Plantation...the heat index was 116 that day!! Ugh!! The house was gorgeous, though!!!
Hannah and Justin have been walking with me some. :) This was right before our walk.  I drove up and saw the fam hanging out in the front yard.  It made me happy. Rosy was there, too, but she had gone in by the time I took the picture.
Rosy told me that she wants to walk with me every day. She said she also wants some walking clothes so I got her the outfit she has on here.  I didn't realize that places sell walking clothes for kids so it looks like I'll be making another trip to get her "real" walking clothes. :) I try to walk up and down the street with Rosy where she'll feel like I'm walking with her.  When she's older, I think I'll have a built in walking buddy! :)
Be still my beating heart!! Have you ever seen anything this cute in your life?! The hair, the smile, the tongue!! Precious!!!
Mar and I went on a double date with Heather and Scott last Monday. We went to Outback and then to get frozen custard...it was all good. The only thing is that Lamar and I got in an argument right before we left. We haven't gotten in a fight in so long and wouldn't you know, it happened right before a double date.  Oh well, it worked out...nothing like good friends and good food to get your mind off everything. :)
I let Charlie Bear ride in the car with me last week. It was so fun to have him in the car with me again. I sure do love this guy and love to have him as my companion in the car.
There are no words.....
Rosy had her first dental cleaning appointment last week.  She was scared and only wanted Mar to clean her teeth...not the hygienist. She said Mar was the "best dentist EVER!" and just wanted him to be in her mouth.
We got her to sit in my lap and after Mar did his little glove balloon trick, she let him look in her mouth.  Look at Mar's face! HA! :)
No cavities!! YAY! :)
Mar has lost 10 pounds in the last few weeks. I can tell in this picture...his face looks thinner.  He is on a diet for his blood pressure and triglycerides.  Banner is so precious..he just had his shots when this picture was taken....look at all the band-aids on his leg. :(
After the dental appointment, I took Rosy with me to get cupcakes! We had such a fun time! We got 4 cupcakes and sampled them all.  She LOVED red velvet, just like her Aunt Hadoo! :)  When we left the cupcake place, Rosy said, "Cupcakes make me laugh!" and they do. She was so happy after she ate them...on a sugar high! I got the cutest video of her talking about all the reasons why cupcakes make her happy! :) Love her!

I went walking tonight by myself. Macy was supposed to go with me but that never works out.  It's really rare that I go by myself....I always have a friend who goes.  I was so spooked on my walk.  Calli and I had a guy yell a very vulgar thing to us last week. It made me SO mad!! Anyway, I was looking at the Lord's amazing creation...His gorgeous sunset and was spooked at the same time.  The sickness in the world makes me sad.  I will not walk that route again without mace.  I didn't go my usual route which I feel a little safer on.  You just never know.  When I got back, one of my friends FB status was about how she got flashed while walking!!! It turns out she just got mooned and thought flashing was the same thing! LOL! :) Still, who wants to get mooned when they're just trying to exercise.  Well, I'm off to go eat some yummy chicken and veggies that Mar made yesterday....delicious!!!

More later.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Dresser Redo

I've been so bad at blogging in the past few years. I blog so I can remember. I painted a set of chest of drawers a few years ago in our other house and I loved the result. The only problem is I didn't blog about it so I have no record of what I did to it. I have no idea what red paint color I used. I thought I had it written on FB but I have searched and searched and I can't find anywhere where I wrote the paint color so now I have this wonderful red chest of drawers and have no idea what the color is. I didn't want that to happen again so I am making sure that I write about the chest of drawers in our master bedroom that I recently painted.  Here is the piece of furniture before Sorry about me in my robe in the mirror. LOL! I really wanted to lighten this up so I decided I would paint it white. I LOVE white and thought it would be great SO I used this chalk paint that I got at Michael's. I had already used it on my coffee table and thought it would be f...

He is Risen INDEED!!!

Happy Easter!!! Ahhhh...I'm just SO SO thankful that Christ ROSE and we are free!!! WOOHOOOO!!! I alway love the Easter service at church at this was no exception. The worship is always my favorite and every year I wish I would have gone to both services. This year our church had the Arkansas Symphony up there with them and the music was just so beautiful! All the songs were such wonderful songs about Christ rising again. And there was a huge wooden cross on the stage that was so beautiful. I, of course, had to take a picture but the picture doesn't quite do it justice. It was just so beautiful.    Brandon preached the sermon and it was so good, too. After the sermon, we sung an old hymn that I love.....Because He Lives. Easter was even more special today because Kevin and Macy were with us. This was their one year dating anniversary and they have now been married 15 days! This weekend was their first time here since they have been married. We got to see them last weekend...
