LOVE my Ladies Group!!!

I sure do love my NLR Ladies Group.  We will start meeting again on Monday and will be going through the book Crazy Love. I read it last summer and LOVED it!! It was so convicting! I'm so excited about reading it again and getting to go through it with some of my favorite girls in the world!!! A few of us met on Thursday at On the Border. I always love being with these sweet friends.
Amy, me, and Hannah Banana.  The baby is not Amy's....she's holding Alicia's niece's baby.  I have always loved Amy but I feel a new bond with her because she is a stepmom like me. :) She's a newlywed and has a son of her own and 2 stepsons.  She can also do 56 pushups in one minute! Now that is quite impressive! :)  And, of course, I adore my baby sister, Hannah....always have! She has a new fire for the Lord and I'm telling you, it's something else to see.  We walk together a lot and the other day after our walk, I felt like I had just walked with Billy Graham or something.  I mean the spiritual wisdom was really amazing.  The other day when we were walking, I was worried about something and she instantly just said a quick prayer out loud.  It's such a great feeing to have such a good friend/sister who loves the Lord and prays when needed!!!  I love her so much and I'm SO proud of her!!!!!
Sherry, Alicia's niece (I don't know her name....I'm so bad with names!!),  Heather, and Alicia.  We missed all the other girls who weren't there.  Alicia's niece joined us and it was fun to meet her and her little daughter (seen above with Amy).

I wrote the above post on Saturday night while watching the football game at mom and dad's. I just realized that I never posted it and it's now Monday night (well, technically early Tuesday morning).  Our Ladies Group met tonight at Lana's and had a great time.  We went over a lot of verses and had a great meeting.  I am excited about our upcoming semester!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my sweet group of friends from that group. They are just amazing!!! We all stick together through thick and thin and love each other no matter what.  So thankful that God put these ladies in my life.

Mar's waiting for me in bed. Poor guy....I was gone late tonight and then had to check my e-mail.  Well, my computer froze a couple of times so I had to keep restarting it and it took a lot longer than usual!!!

Going to hit the hay!! More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
