HOG/BAMA game

Last weekend, we headed on up to Fayetteville for the Hog/Bama game.  The drive is always so beautiful!!! Everyone thought the Hogs would be killed by Bama but we played a great game!

There were SO many people at the game.  It was hard for people to find tickets.  I was thankful that Phil gave us tickets to go.  Initially, this trip was supposed to be a guy's trip but a lot of the guys didn't want to make the drive so I got to go at the last minute.  We sat in what we call Hog Heaven.  Phil has season tickets.  The atmosphere was great....red everywhere, excited people, and great weather, too! It was just a super fun game!
This was the student section an hour before the game. They are always so much fun to watch because they dance and cheer the whole time. :)
Go HOGS!!!!
This was such an exciting game. The ball was parachuted in!!! There were 3 different parachuters and they had red smoke behind them.  It was so neat!
The Goodyear blimp circled around the stadium the entire game.  This was the best game!! It was so much fun to watch.  We were ahead until the last quarter.  It was so exciting!!!
My Razorback necklace. :)
After the game, we went to Rogers and stayed at the Doubletree, where they have super comfortable beds.  The sunset was gorgeous! I took a picture of what the view was behind us and in front of us. I felt sorry for Mar because he couldn't turn around and look since he was driving.
In front of us....just beautiful!!!
The LSU game was on but Mar was nice enough to let us go eat at the Marketplace where they have my favorite bread in the world.  It comes in a pan that has melted butter all  over the bottom.  We searched for the Marketplace for at least 30 minutes before we ended up at the wrong one...the Marketplace Express.  They didn't have the awesome bread so we drove to Springdale and ate at the real Marketplace.  It was so worth it because our waiter introduced us to the sweet butter, which is just brown sugar melted in butter and is TO DIE FOR!! I seriously ate a loaf of bread and so did Mar.  I overindulged for sure.  It was DELICIOUS, though!!! I am really thankful there is not a Marketplace in my town....I'd be in BIG trouble! Oh, and their sweet green beans are amazing, too! We still got to see the whole second half of the LSU game when we got back, too.
I saw this cute shirt in a window in a store while we were walking up the hill to the game.  On the way back, we stopped in and got it. I thought the tag was cute, too. It reminded me of a tag that my sister made for clothes that she was going to sell.
Here's the shirt. I "heart" AR. :)

We had a great time in NW Arkansas.  I lived there for a year (and took a few classes at the U of A) when Macy was 6 months old.  It's always fun to go back and see how things have changed and remember that time when I was so young and had a newborn baby who my friends (who were sophomores in college) loved to play with.  She was our little doll. :) We took her everywhere with us, including daily trips to Chili's for cheese dip.  Fun memories!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Nashville Trip

Once again, it has been SO long since I have done a blog post. I think with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social media, I get overwhelmed. I haven't posted a Facebook album in so long, though, so I really wanted to start blogging again to be able to remember! This might be my last post for 2 years again, though! LOL! We will see. We took a business trip last weekend to Nashville (first time to ever go to Nashville) and it was so fun because on this business trip, Macy and Kevin got to come with us! I haven't written on here yet about it, but Kevin is now working for the same company Lamar works for and we are just THRILLED about it!!!  Our weekend trip actually started on a Thursday. The morning started with my first visit to the ER ever but more about that in another post. I was okay and am so so thankful for my precious dad who took me there and we got to bypass the waiting room. I have continued to be blessed by my Dad and his love for the Lord and oth...
