Emily's wedding

My cousin, Emily, got married on the 30th.  She looked so beautiful!!!
Mar and I before the wedding.
At the reception at the LRCC.  The food was GREAT!!! It was fun sitting outside in the chilly air by the fire.
The Nowlin Family
Rosy and Ban with Uncle Phil.
Sabrina, Sheldon, Shanny, and Phil.
Maddie and Macy by the fire.
Uncle Rodgers (father of the bride) and Uncle Dempsey. :)
The GORGEOUS bride!!!!!
Me and Christi.
My aunts, Jengi and Debbie (beautiful mother of the bride) and my uncle Dempsey.
I ate WAY too much cake and lots of other food, too.  There was a pie bar. YES, a pie bar!!! And, I know that I need to cut my hair....it's way too stringy.
Rosy walked up to Mar and said, "Would you like to dance with me, Mar?" It was so cute! Here they are dancing.
So funny!!! Jengi and Martin having fun on the dance floor.

Martin is always so fun to watch do the twist.  Emily came and cut in and did it with him. It was so cute!
I LOVE MY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!
This picture makes me laugh so hard! I have no idea what Martin and Rodgers are doing but it looks like they are doing the belly bump. :)
I love this picture.  Emily and Taylor had just driven away.  Shanny was so happy for Debbie because she knows what it feels like for the wedding to be over as the mother of the bride.  I love Logan's big smile in the background, too.
More fam
I love this picture of Rodgers with his boys...all very handsome men.

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Christmas Decorations

I am so behind on my blog, once again. I have so much to write about......Thanksgiving, the Turkey Trot, the Granny Walk, Marcifest, the LSU/HOG game, etc.  It was all wonderful! I don't want to leave all of that out.  I'll go back and catch up or at least I think I will.  One thing I learned way back in the day when I was scrapbooking was that if I got behind to just start where I was instead of backtracking. Otherwise, it was just too overwhelming. So, I'm starting with right now and right now, I'm decorating for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas...the music, the atmosphere, and most especially, the celebration of Christ's birth. I got a pretty swag for my door and wanted garland to match. I have a wonderful friend, Hope, who is an incredibly talented decorator and she volunteered to make the garland for me.  We went shopping together and she knew exactly what to buy and came to my house and put it all together.  She did a great job! I love my door!!...
