Tiger Tunes

Macy was in Tiger Tunes this year and it was so much fun to go watch her! She did such a great job!!! I was so happy she got to be in it because there were so many people who signed up this year that only half could do it and the names had to be drawn from a hat.  I prayed that if God wanted her to do it, she  would be picked. She ended up loving it and making a lot of neat friends.

This was Macy's group....Christian Ministries
Macy's group were prisoners. HA! :)
What a cute prisoner!
Mar and I before going to Arkadelphia to see her.  This picture is out of order which drives me crazy because I have a little bit of an obsessive compulsive streak but it's just not worth the trouble of trying to move it to the top. :)
So proud of my prisoner daughter! :)

I went crazy over Macy's eye makeup. I thought she looked so beautiful! I told her she needed to do her makeup like that every day.  She just looked so beautiful, even with that beard! :)
HA!!!! :)
Ouachita has such a pretty campus.  These are the new dorms from last year.  Abby lives in them. Macy lives in the new dorms this year.  She is the first person ever to live in her room.  She's got a great set up!

All the students were so sweet! I am always so impressed with Ouachita every time I go there.
This girl with Macy was Julianna's counselor at Kanakuk last summer.  It was neat to see her. :)
The program
Macy was SO cute and animated while she sang and danced.  She was adorable! She comes from a family of dancers but has never had any confidence because she saw a video of her in a dance recital in 2nd grade and has judged her dance ability from that tape! Anyway, she is a great dancer and performer, which I always knew! :) I'm a proud mama and hope Macy gets the opportunity to do this again.  It was really fun!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Dresser Redo

I've been so bad at blogging in the past few years. I blog so I can remember. I painted a set of chest of drawers a few years ago in our other house and I loved the result. The only problem is I didn't blog about it so I have no record of what I did to it. I have no idea what red paint color I used. I thought I had it written on FB but I have searched and searched and I can't find anywhere where I wrote the paint color so now I have this wonderful red chest of drawers and have no idea what the color is. I didn't want that to happen again so I am making sure that I write about the chest of drawers in our master bedroom that I recently painted.  Here is the piece of furniture before Sorry about me in my robe in the mirror. LOL! I really wanted to lighten this up so I decided I would paint it white. I LOVE white and thought it would be great SO I used this chalk paint that I got at Michael's. I had already used it on my coffee table and thought it would be f...

He is Risen INDEED!!!

Happy Easter!!! Ahhhh...I'm just SO SO thankful that Christ ROSE and we are free!!! WOOHOOOO!!! I alway love the Easter service at church at this was no exception. The worship is always my favorite and every year I wish I would have gone to both services. This year our church had the Arkansas Symphony up there with them and the music was just so beautiful! All the songs were such wonderful songs about Christ rising again. And there was a huge wooden cross on the stage that was so beautiful. I, of course, had to take a picture but the picture doesn't quite do it justice. It was just so beautiful.    Brandon preached the sermon and it was so good, too. After the sermon, we sung an old hymn that I love.....Because He Lives. Easter was even more special today because Kevin and Macy were with us. This was their one year dating anniversary and they have now been married 15 days! This weekend was their first time here since they have been married. We got to see them last weekend...
