Living Proof Live Little Rock :)

Y'all, Living Proof Live this weekend was AMAZING!! It was just so so good!! I wish I could go to every single one from here on out. It was just such a blessing! This was my first one to go to and I just LOVED it!!! Here are some pictures from the weekend.  I have a million, as usual. :)
Just a collage of some of the pictures.  Some of these pictures Hannah took...matter of fact, she took most of them.  She was clicking away the whole time. :)
A couple of years ago, I was at the airport saying goodbye to my daughter, who was about to go on a mission trip to Africa, and this lady came up to me and introduced herself. She was so peppy and happy and acted like we'd known each other forever...that's my kind of friend!! :) I instantly loved her. She is an FSM pastor at my church.  She is also a city coordinator for Lifeway so when we first found out LPL was coming almost a year ago, we were definitely in when Nancy asked for volunteers. What a great blessing!!!!!
My sister, Shanny, booked 2 hotel rooms right away when she found out LPL was coming. Even though we live here, she though it would be fun to spend the night and just walk over to Verizon. So, Shanny, Bee, Georgia, Hannah, and I all spent the night in the Wyndham on Friday.

We needed to be there at 4:30.  Hannah got to volunteer, too, which she was so thrilled about! She hadn't initially signed up but a couple of people cancelled so she was in!!! :) We got GREAT seats!! Second row!!!

We were greeters which was so much fun!! I could greet people all day for the rest of my life. I just love that sort of thing! My sister, Shanny, loves it, too.  We're just sanguines through and through. My sister, Marci, is an over the top sanguine, which we love!! People always think I'm outgoing and then they meet my sister and are like, "You are SHY next to her!" HA! HA! :) I love it! My little sister, Hannah, is not a sanguine, though. We all love her personality so much!! She is hilarious and makes us all laugh but she is definitely not the peppy type. She's the only "quiet" one out of the six kids.  When she found out she'd be greeting, she was so funny. She just started praying immediately that God would help her and give her the right things to say as she greeted people. She kept telling people how great their hair looked which was perfect because the wind was blowing HARD!!! It was actually cold! I had Hannah on one side of me and Shanny on the other side of me. Shanny hugged anyone that looked like they may be having a bad day. :) She's on the beginning of the video at the end of this post.....you can see how sweet she is. We call her Sunshiney Shanny because she's such a cheery person and super encouraging!! It was SO MUCH FUN to greet people!! I just loved it!!! What a fun blessing!!!
Beth Moore came out and was just cute as could be! She is so wise, funny, beautiful, encouraging, bold, etc.  She was just great!! She's from Arkadelphia, AR. so she was back "home". She cried when we all stood for her which was the sweetest thing. I got a pix. How could anyone be any more adorable than she???!!
She came and asked the two little girls sitting in front of us what their names were and how old they were.  One girl told her she was 10 and Beth said, "Oh, I just love how it takes ten syllables to say that!" It reminded me of my sister, Marci, who is the only sibling not living here...she lives in Nebraska and loves it when she gets to hear the southern accents again.  I remember the first time I went to NE years ago, Marci's mother in law couldn't understand me.  It was so funny!! She kept having to say, "Excuse me?" and I'd repeat what I'd say and then she'd say again, "Excuse me?" and we'd go through that time and time again. Finally she would say, "I'm so sorry, I just can't understand you."  HAAAA!!! ;)
We got a pix of all of us after the session was over Friday night. The worship was GREAT!! I've been listening to Travis Cottrell all weekend.  I even dreamed about "In Christ Alone" all Sunday morning.  That was great! I'm listening to him now as I type this.  I don't know how anything else can ever measure up after that. It was just so so good! AND, In Christ Alone is my favorite so I loved it that we got to sing that a couple of times!!! After the session on Friday night, we walked over to Benihana's and ate!! YUM!! :)
Saturday morning
I loved watching the interpreter. She was just beautiful and the signing to the worship songs was gorgeous!!! I've always wanted to be able to do that and even took a class in college but when I actually went to a deaf basketball game, I couldn't understand what anyone was saying.  It was too fast for me and I was young (and not very confident) so I just gave up. I would never give up now.  Anyway, signing to music is like dancing with your hands. I just loved watching this lady.  She was in front of me as we were going to get our Siesta picture and I got to tell her what a blessing it was to watch her and she said it was her joy to be able to do it! I could tell that it was when watching her.
Hadoo and Hanny :)
Oh, the worship!! OH, THE WORSHIP!!! Have I mentioned how much I LOVED THE WORSHIP??!!! :)
This is a video of Katelind, Abby, and my May May dancing to one of the songs! Super fun! :)
And the highlight for me was after the session was over on Saturday, we got to get our pix with all the Siestas and Beth!! That was just the icing on the cake!!! :)
On both sides of Beth are Abby (niece) and Katelind (like a niece).  Macy (daughter) is on the other side of Abby. Abby and Katelind graduated from OBU in Arkadelphia and May May goes to OBU right now.  They were on a high afterwards because Beth held Katelind's hands and looked at all three girls and told them to fight the good fight. As Macy's mama and Abby and Katelind's aunt, that meant the world to me, too. She has such an impact on ALL women, young and old alike. :) Katelind ran to her mom afterwards and said, "I'm on cloud 9!" :) LOVE!!!
And, here's the video from the weekend. Shanny is the greeter in hot pink.  :)

Well, Mar is almost home for lunch so I need to go but my next post is going to be on what Beth Moore talked about.  It was really good! I've been telling everyone about it and sharing my notes. :)

What a wonderful blessing this weekend was! Thank you, Lord!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Dresser Redo

I've been so bad at blogging in the past few years. I blog so I can remember. I painted a set of chest of drawers a few years ago in our other house and I loved the result. The only problem is I didn't blog about it so I have no record of what I did to it. I have no idea what red paint color I used. I thought I had it written on FB but I have searched and searched and I can't find anywhere where I wrote the paint color so now I have this wonderful red chest of drawers and have no idea what the color is. I didn't want that to happen again so I am making sure that I write about the chest of drawers in our master bedroom that I recently painted.  Here is the piece of furniture before Sorry about me in my robe in the mirror. LOL! I really wanted to lighten this up so I decided I would paint it white. I LOVE white and thought it would be great SO I used this chalk paint that I got at Michael's. I had already used it on my coffee table and thought it would be f...

He is Risen INDEED!!!

Happy Easter!!! Ahhhh...I'm just SO SO thankful that Christ ROSE and we are free!!! WOOHOOOO!!! I alway love the Easter service at church at this was no exception. The worship is always my favorite and every year I wish I would have gone to both services. This year our church had the Arkansas Symphony up there with them and the music was just so beautiful! All the songs were such wonderful songs about Christ rising again. And there was a huge wooden cross on the stage that was so beautiful. I, of course, had to take a picture but the picture doesn't quite do it justice. It was just so beautiful.    Brandon preached the sermon and it was so good, too. After the sermon, we sung an old hymn that I love.....Because He Lives. Easter was even more special today because Kevin and Macy were with us. This was their one year dating anniversary and they have now been married 15 days! This weekend was their first time here since they have been married. We got to see them last weekend...
