TORNADOES!!!

Last night, we knew we were supposed to have bad weather. We had planned on going to Red Lobster for dinner (we hadn't eaten there in years and love their biscuits). When Mar got home, we tried to plan our dinner based on the weather.  We decided if we went right away, we would get home before the storm hit. Well, we planned it just about perfect..just about.  Right as we were paying our ticket, the sirens started going off.
Ellie was so scared.  She had never in her life heard tornado sirens.  We were laughing because we hear them all the time. None of us were scared.  The only time I'm scared of tornadoes is if I'm not at my actual house or in a different town or part of town.  Our area has never been hit so I'm just not scared.
Ellie scared.  I have to admit, the sky did look scary. Fortunately, the wind wasn't blowing yet so I wasn't scared we were going to get blown away.
I left my iPhone at home so I grabbed Macy's phone to take pictures.
Okay, the sky looked scary! The clouds looked like a funnel was going to come down and touch at any moment.
I was glad when we got home.  We all went and looked at the weather out the front door. The sirens were blaring and the wind was CRAZY.  It was also hailing. You can see it in this picture.
Hail....Ellie was so worried about her car. We thought about putting blankets on it but we couldn't even get them out there in time.  Plus, Mar said they would have just blown away.

Watching...Ellie said, "I don't think this is a good idea" and came back in.

Watching. For some reason this video is darker than it was on my computer and it's a little hard to see.
Later on, I saw this picture on Facebook!! WHOA!!!! It was taken from Baptist.
LOOK at this!! SCARY!! This was taken from Baptist, too.  It is so sad because Vilonia (about 25 miles from here) was hit really bad.  There were 7 deaths and there was a 3 mile wide, 15 feet long trail where the tornado hit.  AND, we're supposed to have another round tonight.  Matter of fact, south Arkansas is under a tornado warning right now and there has been GRAPEFRUIT size hail reported.  :s Macy just texted me and said the Weather Channel storm chasers are in Arkadelphia but that it is actually sunny there right now.  The weather has been so crazy! It's supposed to storm tomorrow, too!! I can't wait until Thursday when there is a 0% chance of rain!! YAY!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
