Whoa, it's been a long time since I've written!! I wrote a post awhile back but after posting it decided to make it private. I just have to be careful what I write since this is a public blog.  I never want to hurt anyone's feelings in any way so I always imagine that ANYONE could be reading this and then I am more careful with what I say.  Way back in the day, when I first started to blog on xanga, I had a protected blog and wrote about anything and everthing! When I wrote a protected post, only women could view it and only women that I chose.  That blog had way TMI!!! It is fun to go back and read, though! :)

I went to bed way too late last night because I am reading this book:
It really didn't sound like a book I'd be interested in but I got a sample on Kindle and am LOVING it!! I have already cried in it several times. It's the sweetest book about a teenager with autism.  I am on chapter 20 already and I just started reading it yesterday. I am sure I'll go to bed late again tonight because I'll be reading it.  One reason I don't read more than I do is because when I do, I can't put the book down and sometimes will stay up all night long reading an entire book. I made myself put my iPhone down (I read most of my books on my iPhone now with the Kindle app) at 2:30 am.

I am really wanting this camera! I LOVE it and really love the color! The black version is already out but the hot pink version doesn't come out for a couple of weeks so I'm waiting.  It's worth it to me to wait to have the great color! I take pictures every day so I don't want to look at a boring color.  I LOVE my Canon camera that I have now. It's not the top of the line...matter of fact, it's kind of cheap but it's been my favorite camera. This is what I have now:
I had the pink one first and loved it but then I dropped it and broke it so I went back to Best Buy and got the same camera in blue. I like my blue one but I loved my pink one. :) Anyway, I've reaserched the cameras and know for sure that I want the 230 hs. I played with the black one at Best Buy and loved it. There are 2 things that I have to have on my cameras or I will not buy them....fill flash and date stamp.  I always use a flash on my camera, even if it's outside. The pictures look SO much better! The flash fills in dark circles and brightens faces and if compared with a pix not using a fill flash, the pix with the flash is always better. Try it sometime. :)

I don't know if I have written on here or not about Mar losing 32 pounds but he sure has! I am so proud of him! He's got some discipline. I need some of his discipline right now.  I don't know what happened but after I got back from Colorado, I started stuffing my face 24/7. It was CRAZY and lasted about a month!! I don't know if it was the cortisone catching up with me, hormones (which were way out of whack) or what but I was a glutton!!!. I won't weigh but it's obvious I've gained weight because my clothes that were too big now fit. :s I'm trying not to freak out about it.  I'm no longer stuffing my face so that is good. :)  Anyway, since Mar started his healthy diet, I never cook anymore or bake! I miss it!! Mar and I used to cook together and now we don't.  He makes healthy soup and salmon on the grill that is great but all my yummy unhealthy recipes are no longer being made.  I really am missing my red velvet cake, brownies, and other yummy desserts. I haven't written on my recipe blog since December!!! Crazy!!!  It's probably a good thing, though, seeing as how I've been eating lately.  You know what my favorite food is right now? Raisin Bran Crunch! LOL! I like the Kroger brand.  Instead of stuffing my face with M&M's, I'm eating LOTS of Raisin Bran Crunch! I think I had fewer calories with the M&M's! :)

It is absolutely gorgeous outside!! I am going to go walk at 4:00. It's just too pretty to not be outside. I'm missing my walking partner this week.  She's got other plans this week.....
Katelind got MARRIED on Saturday and is on her honeymoon this week!! YAY!!!! I am so happy for her!! She was a gorgeous bride and just adorable to watch! I told Lamar it was like watching someone that was high on love! HA! :) The way she looked at Branson was just the cutest thing and the way he watched her was so fun to watch! I loved it!! GREAT wedding and super fun reception.  I hopefully will post about it but I know better to say that I will for sure because my track record isn't the best with blogging the last few years.

Well, I'm going to get off of here and go get myself ready to walk in this gorgeousness! :) I LOVE this weather and want to take it all in!!! This morning it was 39 degrees and right now it's 68! :) Perfect!

Happy Day!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...

Nashville Trip

Once again, it has been SO long since I have done a blog post. I think with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social media, I get overwhelmed. I haven't posted a Facebook album in so long, though, so I really wanted to start blogging again to be able to remember! This might be my last post for 2 years again, though! LOL! We will see. We took a business trip last weekend to Nashville (first time to ever go to Nashville) and it was so fun because on this business trip, Macy and Kevin got to come with us! I haven't written on here yet about it, but Kevin is now working for the same company Lamar works for and we are just THRILLED about it!!!  Our weekend trip actually started on a Thursday. The morning started with my first visit to the ER ever but more about that in another post. I was okay and am so so thankful for my precious dad who took me there and we got to bypass the waiting room. I have continued to be blessed by my Dad and his love for the Lord and oth...
