Color Run Fun!

I LOVE the Color Run! Last year was the first year I did it and it was so much fun for a lot of reasons that speak my sanguine love language!! For one thing, you get to dress up all fun and girly with TUTU's!!! It's not often that a grown woman can get away with that. Also, you get fun colors sprayed all over you during the run/walk. You also can also dance through the 5K which I'm all about. There are cute happy signs everywhere and at the end there is a finish line party where they throw color and everyone dances. I just LOVE it!!!

I was trying to figure out my outfit and decided to wear this. :) I got the colorful tights and fun sunglasses and necklace at Party City.
All ready to go the morning of the Color Run. I ended up not wearing the fluffy leg warmers and changing my tank to blue. I also got a different tutu when I checked in the day before. The one from last year was TINY and uncomfortable! I also didn't wear the necklace. I was just kinda tired when I woke up because I only slept 3 hours the night before (I can't remember why now...welcome to my mind lately!).
Christi and her friend, Haley met at my house and Lamar drove us downtown to drop us off. He is so good to always do that for us so we don't have to deal with parking. We met Amy and her fabulous gang at Bosco's.
2nd year to do Color Run together. So fun!
Who doesn't love tutus!!! I sure do! :)
I love these 3 generations of super fun and fabulous women!
I have no idea who these people are but they were dressed fun. Check out the wig on that one lady!
Christi is so much fun! I don't know how she managed to lift me but she did! Strong woman!
Color fun!
:) Haley's wig was so fun! By the way, Haley is Mandy Mote's sister. Mandy is one of Macy's best friends and her old roommate! SO fun!
GrandMary beat us all! She has more spunk and energy at 82 than I do at 42. I love her! She's one of my favorite people on the planet!
After the finish.
This picture was on the Color Run photographer's site. I love it! Amy and Matt were so cute to watch...they had so much fun together. Matt has a great sense of humor and is such a gentleman. He's a sweet guy. I'm glad he and Amy are together....they make such a cute couple.
These pictures are out of order for some reason. Love this of Amy! HAHA! :)

Instead of snow angels, we did pink chalk angels! :)
After the race, we got our picture as a team on the stage. We were missing GrandMary and Jill, though.
I wanted to get our annual picture jumping by the river so I asked a guy to video us jumping and that way we could just take a picture of the video. The only thing is the quality of the pictures aren't clear so I won't do that again.

Waiting on Mar to pick us up.

Color Run Fun....see you next year!!!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
