Hope's Christmas decor

I am not decorating for Christmas this year. We are in the process of moving. We are making small loads to the new house every now and then but the movers are actually coming to move the big stuff on Dec. 27th. SO, no Christmas decor this year. Because of this, I am living vicariously through my precious friend, Hope! And if you'e going to live vicariously thorough someone, especially with decorating, she's your girl! HA! Look how beautiful her house is! It's a blessing to just be in there. It feels so Christmasy and homey! Just take a look at some of the pictures I took last night.

She has initials on this little tree for all the family members.
I don't think the image quality is very good because I uploaded these on the blogger app from my phone.
We had prayer group last night at Hope's and she got everyone candles.
She put a verse on each person's candle.
She said she got me this candle because I bring sunshine to her life whenever I am with her. It made me feel so good! And just take a look at how cute the candle is!! Gold glitter all over the top! SO FUN!!

All our kids are coming on Saturday. They are staying until Monday with the exception of Macy. She's staying a lot longer! YAY! Hannah and the kids are coming tomorrow and I'm SOOOO excited! I have 6 people staying in our little rental and only one twin bed! HA! SOOOOO, I've got a lot to do!! I need to get an aerobed and get our twin beds out of storage to put on the floor. Should be an interesting weekend with all the kids sharing a bathroom! Definitely memories will be made!

Merry Christmas! More later!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...

Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! When my mom and dad moved, they gave me their big round table that seats...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...
