Playing with Photoshop Elements

I love the blogging world. I have had Photoshop Elements for a couple of years and couldn't figure it out. I did manage to put Macy's nose on me once and mine and hers...that was funny but after that I got too frustrated and removed the software from my computer. Well, I found McMama's photography lessons last night and decided to reinstall and play. I laughed so hard reading her post about blurring backgrounds...I didn't realize how funny she is because I don't read blogs a whole lot. Anyway, while I still don't understand much...like how to close a picture...I did manage to blur a background. I actually like the color better on the first one but was playing with it and couldn't get the color back to the original. :) Anyway, here is the before and after blurred background picture. See, I have a blurry background!!! I also couldn't figure out how to make the other boot not blurry but I'm sure if I play enough, I can figure it out. :) I'm SO exci...

Granny's 90

I am sitting here listening to the Lion King. Macy and her friends are in the living room watching it. There sure is some great music on that movie. Macy has been singing at the top of her lungs to every song. It's funny! Tomorrow Granny will be 90. It's hard to believe she's 90 years old. It's bittersweet. In a way, it's really neat to see someone you love live to be 90 but then again, she is not really here. She's been gone a long time now. I remember when she was first having trouble saying her words. She said she could think them but couldn't get the right words out of her mouth....that was 10 years ago. She was so frustrated about it and then would just laugh at herself. Now she just lies there and can't say a word. :( Granny was a wonderful grandmother. She always won the award for having the most grandchildren at all her reunions...she has 24 grandchildren! :) I remember Granny teaching me things like how to cross stitch and how to make angel foo...

Macy's Home!!! :)

Wow, it has been a long time since I've updated!!! Too long!!! Macy's back home from Africa and had the time of her life. I actually haven't gotten to spend much time with her since she's been home because she's been on the go so much. Her best friend from Rayville, Shelby, has been here since Monday and just left. I didn't get to see Shelby much while she was here, either. The girls were busy with friends and went to the lake yesterday. I did get to eat pizza and homemade peach ice cream with them last night. Macy and I are going to the pool today, though. YEA!!! :) I love going to the pool and it is a great place to talk!!! The picture above was taken at the airport when Macy got back from Africa. I'll have to post some of her Africa pictures in another post. I got to eat dinner with my best friend in the world, Sarah, last week. I LOVE this girl!!! Absolutely love her. We have been best friends since she was 5 and I was 6. She is one of the kindest people...
