Playing with Photoshop Elements

I love the blogging world. I have had Photoshop Elements for a couple of years and couldn't figure it out. I did manage to put Macy's nose on me once and mine and hers...that was funny but after that I got too frustrated and removed the software from my computer. Well, I found McMama's photography lessons last night and decided to reinstall and play. I laughed so hard reading her post about blurring backgrounds...I didn't realize how funny she is because I don't read blogs a whole lot. Anyway, while I still don't understand much...like how to close a picture...I did manage to blur a background. I actually like the color better on the first one but was playing with it and couldn't get the color back to the original. :) Anyway, here is the before and after blurred background picture.

See, I have a blurry background!!! I also couldn't figure out how to make the other boot not blurry but I'm sure if I play enough, I can figure it out. :)
I'm SO excited! I'm headed to Branson tomorrow with Macy for a day trip. Marci will be there!!! :) I haven't seen her in WAY too long and she's not coming here this summer so I'm headed there for the day. I'm excited, too, because we're going to shop!! AND, to top it all off, I actually got a Ralph Lauren Outlet coupon in the mail yesterday!! What are the odds that I'd get a coupon and actually be able to use it????!!!! There's no outlet here so even if I did have a coupon, I usually wouldn't be able to use it. Also, I'm excited because Mom, Dad, Shanny, and Abby are there, too. :) I LOVE my family! I also get to see a childhood friend that I haven't seen in years. We reconnected through Facebook and she is super sweet. She is going to be picking up her kids from Kanakuk while Marci is dropping her girls off so we'll all be in the same place at the same time. :)
Okay, so something is wrong with me. No big deal or anything. I think it's my thyroid or maybe I'm having premature ovarian failure....who knows. I do know that I need to head on up to Dad's office and get checked. :s No fun, no fun at all!
Macy leaves in 3 weeks for college. 3 WEEKS!!! I can't believe it! I just can't believe it. I am going to miss her so much. Moving on the next chapter in life. Speaking of May May, we're headed to the pool in a few minutes. I'm trying to spend as much time as possible with her before she leaves. She's bringing a friend with her. I have loved going to the pool this summer. I have close friends who are there and we just talk and talk. Also, my sweet Sunshine comes some and that's always fun. Well, I'm outta here! More later! :)

That picture is precious and praying for you!!! :)
Have a fun trip! I have Elements too and have had a hard time figuring it out too. Jesse bought me this book though. It explains things and shows you with pictures how to do it! It helps so much!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. I would just bake or cook as usual but along the way I would take pictures and blog about the recipes. I still go back to that site and get recipes. I send my kids and friends there when they are wanting a certain recipe, too. It's so easy to just send them a link. I'm all about fast and easy recipes! One of my favorite super easy "go to" recipes are these super yummy and easy brownie bites. I first blogged about these in 2009 here but thought I would add the yummy recipe to this blog, too.  Ingredients: Brownie Mix (I use the Duncan Hines 13x9 family size). Rolo's (they now have them unwrapped) WOOHO...
Mar and I didn't go to church this morning. :( We hate to miss. We woke up about 8:30, talked a little bit, prayed a little bit and then the next thing we know, it's 10:30!!! We must have really needed the sleep. We leave for church at 10:40 so there was no way we were going to make it. It felt wonderful to sleep in, though. We can alway watch the service on the Internet. After Rosie got home from church, we went and picked her up and took her to Wendy's to eat (we all really wanted Franke's but it was packed...at 1:45!) and then we headed to Party City where I got plates for Bunco (it's at my house on Thursday) and then we went to Garden Ridge and got a fake plant and a chair (for $99). The chair we were going to get was WAY more than that and a lot prettier but the one at Garden Ridge did the job fine and with no guilt for spending too much money on a beautiful chair. It is SO MUCH FUN to shop with Rosie...SO MUCH FUN!!! I hate to shop without her because she make...

Bye Bye 80's kitchen!!

Well, my kitchen is mostly finished!! It's completely painted!! I am so excited to have a brighter updated kitchen.  It just feels completely different.  I'm not completely finished but here's what I've got for now.   The cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Linen White and the walls are Benjamin Moore clay beige. I'm so glad to see the florescent oak square light gone!! I replaced it with chandeliers I got at a flea market!! :) We also hired an electrician to put more canned lighting in because after the florescent square was gone, we needed more lighting. I painted 48 cabinets and drawers and the body of the cabinets (don't know what the official name for that is) and was so burned out by the time I finished the island that my sweet husband suggested we hire a painter to paint the rest for me! I am SOOOO glad he did!!!!  See the faith, truth, love window frame beside the pantry door? Well, my super talented sister-in-law, Sabrin...
