Siesta Scripture Memory #1

I know my verse is an easy one but I'm focusing on verses that emphasize the things I struggle with and can repeat over and over again throughout the day. I talk a lot and where there are many words, sin is more likely, so I need to be so careful that I don't just blurt everything out that comes to my mind but think before I speak. I want what I say to be honoring to the Lord and definitely don't want to give Satan a foothold. So excited about Siesta Scripture Memory 2011!!! WOO-HOO!!!!

Hi Heather, I'm doing the Siesta memory verses too! I couldn't figure out how to order the spiral,so I made my own. I started with Colossians 3:1 and realized I could memorize the whole chapter for the siesta memory.
Since then you have been raised with Christ,set your hearts on things above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Didit from memory! Best wishes on this journey!

Fast and Easy Rolo Brownie Bites

Happy Happy Friday, y'all! Some of y'all might know that back in the day I had a baking blog. And, by back in the day, I mean I started it in 2009 and my last post was in 2011. I probably should update it and keep adding to it, but I just don't bake or cook as much anymore now that our nest is empty. But, I did have so much fun with that blog. Show us where you live Friday.....the Kitchen

Most of you probably read Kelly's blog . She is so much fun! Well, she is hosting a "Show us where you Live Friday" and this week is the kitchen edition. I am excited about this because I absolutely LOVE looking at houses and decor....it's so much fun and can really show someones personality. I just love to see how others express themselves through decorating. While I really do love my kitchen, it is the room I am looking forward to redoing the very most. My future plans are to take down the wallpaper and paint, paint the ceiling, redo the cabinets (probably really dark wood), paint the island black, take down the florescent light fixture above the island and replace with something a little more up to date, and replace the curtains. I think the previous owners did a great job decorating it but I would rather it be more my personality. I spend A LOT of time in my kitchen and I really enjoy it!! Nashville Trip

Once again, it has been SO long since I have done a blog post. I think with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social media, I get overwhelmed. I haven't posted a Facebook album in so long, though, so I really wanted to start blogging again to be able to remember! This might be my last post for 2 years again, though! LOL! We will see. We took a business trip last weekend to Nashville (first time to ever go to Nashville) and it was so fun because on this business trip, Macy and Kevin got to come with us! I haven't written on here yet about it, but Kevin is now working for the same company Lamar works for and we are just THRILLED about it!!!  Our weekend trip actually started on a Thursday. The morning started with my first visit to the ER ever but more about that in another post.
