Blogging twice in one day...now that's a first in a LONG time!! I'm up late and WIDE awake. Mar was off today and we slept late...it was pure heaven!!! :) It feels like it's about 9:00 pm. Mar on the other hand, is fast asleep on the couch behind me. :) He always calls me his little night owl. So, I got a smile makeover on Monday and Tuesday. I had 4 veneers on my top teeth for the last 10 years and liked them a lot but at the time the whitest shade they had was A1 which was not very white. Mar's been wanting to redo my teeth for awhile but I was just dreading the whole process. Over the years, Mar's done most of my family member's teeth and they all look great!!! In all our pictures together, here are all these gorgeous white smiles next to my yellow smile. I finally gave in on a whim last week after seeing my niece, Abby's, gorgeous new smile. Well, I am looking at this picture of me and am like, "WHOA! My teeth look WHITE..maybe a little too white...

Show Us Your Life....Diets, Exercise Programs, Weight Loss Ideas.

My family loves to exercise together. My sister, Marci, is a Jazzercise instructor so when she's in town, we do Jazzercise in Mom's kitchen or garage. :) Here we are after we all met and did Zumba together. It's so much more fun when you exercise with family or friends. :) I am NO expert and don't claim to be but these are the things that have worked for me. *Try not to obsess on losing weight.....the more you think about it, the more you're going to eat. We learned about this in one of my psychology classes and really, it's true (at least it has been for me). I used to not think about losing weight ever (matter of fact, I thought about gaining weight) and that was when I didn't eat near as much. I just wasn't focused on food. *Exercise regularly but don't go overboard....you'll get burned out. I exercise probably 4 times a week...sometimes 5 (on a good week). I have friends who exercise 2 and 3 times a day, though...that to me is OVERKILL!!! ...

Winter Wonderland

For Christmas this year, we took our girls to Winter Park, Colorado to go skiing. I haven't been to Colorado in 21 years. My parents used to take us every year skiing and I never liked it because 1) I always got altitude sickness and 2)my feet got so cold, I couldn't enjoy it. I have always loved God's beautiful creation, though, and have always wanted to go back and enjoy the gorgeousness of the moutains. When I read that there is now medication for altitude sickness, I was ALL ABOUT IT!! :) Also, Toati-toes have been invented since the 80's so cold feet haven't been a problem in awhile for me. We had such a wonderful vacation. The beauty was just amazing!!! I will never let 21 years go by again without taking this site in: WOW! Just look at that! This was on our drive from Denver to Winter Park. It was the most gorgoeus drive. I kept saying, "I feel like I'm in the Sound of Music". You know that last scene where they're escaping over the mountain...

This is what our schedule looked like this year: Friday: Lunch with the girls/guys play in the Granny's Cup family golf tournament Shopping Turkey Trot dance Saturday: Granny Walk with the girls/ guys play football Lunch at mom's Watch LSU/AR game I always love spending time with my extended family. I have to say..my family is FUN!!! I love it! We went over to mom and dad's house on Thanksgiving day this year. We had a much smaller group than usual but it was still great! I think there were 13 of us. I think this picture is so cute of May and Charlie Bear. She was getting ready to get one of the hot dishes I made to bring to Nana's house. :) I made Paula Deen's Sweet Potato Bake (DELICIOUS!) And I made my hashbrown casserole that I make every year....it's SO good!!! Mar mixed 3 different cheesecake recipes and seriously made the best cheesecake I have EVER tasted!! Everyone wanted h...
