Birthdays

May May came home yesterday for a few hours. She is not going to live in an apartment after all. She is going to be living at home. She just was too scared of the future to live in an apartment and wanted the security of home. SO, since she had already signed the lease, she had to pay A LOT of money to get out of it, even though the apartment complex had another renter that moved in the same day Macy was going to move in. It feels so wrong to me that Macy had to pay so much (you wouldn't believe if I wrote the amount) to NOT live in a place. The high justice side of me is not okay with that. She had to take most of her savings to pay that. I can understand if they didn't have another renter, but they did. I can also understand if they charged her maybe $100 but it was WAY WAY more than that. Anyway, that was an expensive lesson. They didn't lose one dime on her not living in that apartment. Makes me sad for Macy but I can't dwell on it and I don't want to complai...

Snow days

I have gotten a little behind on blogging. I really want to keep up but I get so overwhelmed because so much happens and it seems too much to write. We had a great Thanksgiving week. It was so wonderful to be with the family and do the Turkey Trot. I can't wait to all be together again in less than 2 weeks!! YAY!! Well, we have had one snow day after another. It's still cloudy, though, and will be nice to see the sun.  On Thursday night, we knew we were going to get an ice storm so we headed to The Market by Capers and loaded up on our casseroles. They are homemade and delicious! We live on them! Then, we headed to Mardel where Lamar loaded up on books. I am not much of a fiction book reader. I am too impatient and want to read ahead. I would much rather be doing something else. I did get the P...
Well, I just had this whole post written but then added a picture from the Blogger app on my mobile phone and now my post is gone. Oh well...I'll just write it again. Last week was the Holiday House which is my favorite! I don't really enjoy shopping all that much anymore unless it's online (it's just so much easier) but I still love shopping at the Holiday House. This year it was GREAT! So many wonderful vendors! I was planning on going on Wednesday night but I waited too late to get a ticket and they were sold out so my sweet friend, Hope, went with me on Thursday morning before the big crowds got there. It's the next best thing to Wednesday night. Hope and I went together last year, too, with Alex. He held all our bags! Next year, we are going to take Mar and Alex on Wednesday night. They can sit and talk and watch all our bags while we shop!  While we were shopping, I saw these adorable cowboy boots! I ran to them and turned them over and saw that...
