Hipstamatic App

I am loving the Hipstamatic app!!! It's so much fun! Here are some pictures taken with it: Just playing around with the app trying to learn how to work it. This is not the best picture but I thought it  was cute of Charlie Bear.   It was gorgeous outside this weekend!! It was 77 degrees yesterday! Just beautiful!! We went to Pinnacle both Friday and Saturday.  It was great!!  Of course, there's a winter weather advisory for Tuesday.  Crazy weather! :) What a wonderful gift to have such unseasonably warm weather, though.  I think Macy's boof on her head is cute! :) I would do that with my hair if I had thick hair like she does.   We headed over to mom and dad's after Pinnacle on Friday and got to spend time with our little sweeties! :) Yesterday, Mar got me pretty pink tulips at Whole Foods. :) We both LOVE tulips!! I love looking at the frog balloon and pretty tulips Mar got me every time I look at the island in the kitchen. M...
It was absolutely GORGEOUS outside today!! 73 degrees on January 28!! WOW!! I was supposed to walk with Katelind but day before yesterday it was sunny for the first time in awhile so I went a little crazy and walked/jogged 7 miles. My knee started hurting about the last mile and I should have taken the next day off but I didn't because it was another gorgeous day and I LOVE to be outside and walk/jog so I met Katelind and Erin and we walked about 5 miles.  After about 3 miles, I was limping so I took today off.  It was hard not to exercise on such a gorgeous day but we did end up going to Pinnacle with Reg and May and got to enjoy some time outside.  Tomorrow it's supposed to be even warmer!!! I AM walking in the morning and am hoping/praying that my knee does okay. I went ahead and bought the new shoes that I have been needing for about a month (my body always tells me when it's time for new running shoes) today.  I know my knee wouldn't have been hurting if I would...

FUN January SNOW!!!

This is a late post but I still wanted to write about the wonderful snow that we had at the first of January.  It was so beautiful and we got A LOT of it!!! I LOVE the snow!!! We had so much fun!!!! The snow started on Sunday while we were eating in Franke's.  We all got excited!!! YAY snow!!! In a couple of hours, we already had a few inches of beautiful snow. It was falling hard and there were big flakes. We decided to take Charlie Bear and Reggie on a walk. We ended up walking a couple of miles.  Reggie got so cold so we took turns putting him in our coat. Charlie Bear, on the other hand, thrives in the cold!! He loves it!! The colder the better for Charlie!!! This was at the first of our walk. Pretty snow! May and Reg.  This was at the first of our walk, too.  By the end of our walk, we were all wet with snow and actually sweating (even though is was sooooo cold) from holding Reg in our coats and from the exercise, too. :) The next day, Mar's office was clos...
Yesterday, my sweet friend, Hope came over. She is just a precious friend and a gift from God. She loves the Lord so much and it truly blesses everyone she knows. She is a prayer warrior and just on fire for the Lord so much. Anyway, I was talking to her about some of the things I have been worried about lately and she immediately said, "Heather, you and Lamar have to read Deuteronomy 28 every single morning!" She then got her iPhone out and read me the first 14 verses. She told me to read it every day out loud. So, when Lamar got home, I told him about it and he read it out loud right then. Well, later on we were listening to Joyce Meyer (we listen to her podcast every day) and she was talking about the things we need to purposely say. She was talking about how we need to be thankful and not complain and then she begin to read Deuteronomy 28!! I was like, "LAMAR, do you hear her...she is reading Deuteronomy 28!" And then to put the cherry on the top...right after ...

A few of my favorite (and not so favorite) things about 2010

This post has taken me weeks to write. It's so long and I had so many pictures that I just made them into collages but I really wanted to be able to look back and see the highlights of 2010.  It's so interesting going through a year of pictures...reliving all the things that have happened in a year. This year has been filled with lots of happy things....going to the mountains and the beach, celebrating life, fun snow, etc....and sad, the passing of my aunt Jane, Brad Mooney, David Beasley, and most recent (end of Dec.), Anthony Riggan.  The last three deaths were unexpected.  All 3 men were so young and left behind grieving families.  Anthony didn't have any children but leaves behind a mom, dad, and sister and tons of friends who loved him.  His funeral was one of the biggest blessings of the year.  All the people who died are with Jesus now so that is so wonderful but I feel so sad for the people left here to grieve. So, here's a few pictures (or a...
