Relaxing Day in Breckenridge

I slept about 5 hours last night! YAY! Normally that would not be all that great but I haven't slept more than 2 hours at a time since last Thursday.  I only took 2 mg of cortisone last night so I slept until about 5:45 am.  I woke up a few times in the night but I still got more sleep than I have been. I wasn't feeling the altitude this morning so when it was time for my shot, I just got another 2 mg.  I noticed my appetite was back this morning.  Kind of a bummer in a way. It's been nice to not have to worry about calories or the next yummy thing I'm going to eat.  We took it easy this morning.  We ate and listened to a GREAT Joyce Meyer sermon and then headed to the slopes around 11:30.   I was excited to wear my monkey hat! The small things in life! :) You're never too old to have fun!  We've been taking a self timer picture every day when we leave our condo. :) It was again unseasonably warm so I wore my lighter winter coat and Mar didn't eve...

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Valentine's Day 2011

Valentine's Day 2011 was a GREAT day!! Mar woke up at 3:00 in the morning thinking he heard a noise and it woke me up.  After that, we were both wide awake (not surpising for me being on this cortisone but Mar always goes right back to sleep). Mar was so sweet and gave me a Valentine's present in the middle of the night..... he played with my hair for a long time and then gave me a awesome massage.  It was so relaxing!! When we looked at the clock again, it was 5:30 am! He went back to sleep but I wasn't tired so I went and took a bath and prayed for Macy while I was in the tub. After that, I texted her and we had a good Valentine day conversation.  She was already up and headed to school (hour later there).  I finally went back to sleep around 6:30 or 7:00 and woke up again at 9:00.  Mar got up and did his quiet time while I laid in bed a little while longer...so tired but unable to sleep. Then, I got my cortisone shot and then was able to function better. ...

Breckenridge Day Three

Well, last night, we woke up at 1:00 am and 3:00 am again.  The first time Lamar was hot and the second time he was cold.  When he woke up the second time, I was drenched in sweat and felt nauseous. I don't really know why but felt better after about 15 mins. I think the dexamethasone shot was given in my blood stream last night because right after I got it, I started feeling really shaky and weird and started sweating a lot.  Lamar made sure to give it to me in the muscle this morning and I was fine.  After we woke up this morning, we watched our church service online.  It was a good sermon on the tabernacle which sounds boring but really wasn't. Right after that, I came in the kitchen to make me lunch and I listened to Joyce Meyer while eating and she talked about the same thing about the tabernacle.  It was really cool!!!  In our living room in our condo about ready to hit the slopes. It was unseasonably warm today.  The high was 42 but the win...

Breckenridge trip first two days :)

Mar and I headed out bright and early yesterday morning to go to Breckenridge.  It had just snowed and the streets were pretty icy so we parked at the top of our hill on Thursday night just in case we couldn't get up the next morning.  When we left LR, it was 9 degrees!! When we got to Denver it was above freezing and felt warm!! There are LOTS of pictures but I like to document everything. Here Mar is about to walk up our hill.  The sun is coming up and so pretty in the background.  Yes, we both have pink bags and they help us find our luggage so much easier!! :) When we got to Denver, we couldn't find our baggage claim until I spotted our two pink bags off in the distance on the conveyer belt!  Walking up the ICY hill!! I was so glad we parked at the top!! The weather has been crazy in AR!! The temperature got to -18 in Fayetteville...a record low!!! Some places in AR got 24 inches of snow!!! I don't remember it ever being so cold and I definitely don't ever r...
