Oh y'all, I have GOT to start blogging again. I don't remember things unless I write about them. I blogged for so many years and can remember those years because I wrote about the things that happened and usually put pictures with what I was writing about. Now, I can't remember a lot of things. For example, used to I would have blogged about a dresser that I redid. It was ugly and I painted it and made it cute. Now, it's my favorite piece of furniture but I didn't blog about it so I have no idea what paint color I used!! I know it's documented somewhere but I sure can't find it. If I would have been blogging, I would have just found my post and I would have for sure written down the paint color. And that's just one example. Hopefully I will start blogging again where I can remember! Here's just a few pictures of the latest that I happened to have on my laptop.  Here's our granddaughter, Eloise. Isn't she precious?! She is such a sweet...

Our new baby Golden

We are getting a GOLDEN RETRIEVER puppy!! We get our choice between these three boys! I am SO excited! I can't wait to have another Golden in our lives and I'm SOOO happy for Reggie. We are either naming our little guy Moses, Brinkley, or Smitty. His middle name is for sure going to be Bear after Charlie Bear. I think we will probably go with Moses even though I think Bear goes better with Brinkley. I like Smitty because it's a nickname for Smith, my maiden name. But, I like Moses because it's a great Bible name and I'm all about names having meaning. I also love the name Brinkley because I think it's such a pretty name. Lamar and I say our movie is "You've Got Mail" and the Golden Retriever in that movie is named Brinkley. We won't get our little guy until the end of January. I can't wait to meet our little cuddly bug!! SO excited!

Hope's Christmas decor

I am not decorating for Christmas this year. We are in the process of moving. We are making small loads to the new house every now and then but the movers are actually coming to move the big stuff on Dec. 27th. SO, no Christmas decor this year. Because of this, I am living vicariously through my precious friend, Hope! And if you'e going to live vicariously thorough someone, especially with decorating, she's your girl! HA! Look how beautiful her house is! It's a blessing to just be in there. It feels so Christmasy and homey! Just take a look at some of the pictures I took last night.  She has initials on this little tree for all the family members. I don't think the image quality is very good because I uploaded these on the blogger app from my phone. We had prayer group last night at Hope's and she got everyone candles.  She put a verse on each person's candle.  She said she got me this candle because I bring sunshine to her...

Home Sweet Home

*Not sure the date of when I wrote this was but I wanted to post this! I think I wrote this in September. We close on this house on Thursday. My sister told me that God spoils me and He sure does!! I feel so loved by Him all the time! One day I get to see Him face to face and tell him in person THANK YOU!!! This is what I wrote around September: So, a neat thing happened. Instead of me writing the whole thing down, I'm just going to copy and paste the text that I wrote to my family. This was on August 8. "Oh my gosh y'all, I have THE neatest story to tell y'all!!! Well, Lamar and I have been looking at houses even though we weren't going to start getting serious until March. It's just fun to look. Well, we found this house that we both LOVED. The outside wasn't the greatest but the inside was GORGEOUS! Lamar said, "Let's go ahead and buy it!" Well, for one thing, it wasn't in the neighborhood I wanted to live in. It's past Robin...

Life is Golden!

The coolest thing just happened. Lamar and I went walking and I was telling him how excited I am about our puppy and we were talking about names. Then, we saw a white Golden far away. I said,"Is that a white Golden?" And the closer we got, we could see it was. We stopped and talked to the lady and told her that we were getting a white Golden in January and she said she got hers from Wisteria Goldens which is where we are getting ours!! Which is so crazy bc I found Wisteria through Google and they're not even in LR. I told her the name of our puppies parents and she said she thought her dog was in the same litter as Thor! So our puppy's aunt! Such a fun wink from the Lord! I just love when He shows us how involved He is in the small things of our lives! She said her dog is real mellow! She wasn't even on a leash! Lol! She said she just wants to lie around all day watching TV!

Bye Bye my sweet beautiful Charlie Bear

*I wrote this post on July 23, 2014 I have wanted to write this post for a while but have just been putting it off because it’s so sad for me. I don’t want to forget the day that we said goodbye to our best friend, though, so here I am on an airplane and figured I might as well write. On May 29, 2014 we had our last morning with Charlie Bear. We had to put him to sleep. I had been praying for a couple of months that he would go on his own because I never wanted to make that decision but the time came where the decision had to be made. Looking back, I know the time was right. God’s timing always is. Charlie Bear had been showing signs of dementia for awhile but that didn’t matter to us. He was still enjoying life as he always did. He had started to go to the bathroom on the carpets and I think it’s because he thought it was grass. About a year and a half ago, we put him on medication to help his spondylosis. I had taken him to the vet because he was panting...

Moving (backyard, dance room, bonus room)

So,we finally put our house on the market after thinking about it for a year...and it sold 13 days later. I sure wasn't expecting that! The new owners move in June 2nd so I have A LOT of work to do! I wanted to take pictures of all my rooms before we leave though so here are a few of them. Wish the grass was greener for the picture. It's greener now. The realtor took this.  I love this room because it's happy! It was never used though. I'll miss seeing the striped rug and polka dots. Molly is going to take the bed. She's coming to get it this week. I wanted to paint this room but didn't ever get around to it in the 7 years we were in the house! Lol! I was too busy working on the downstairs.  This was Macy's little chair she brought home from college. It's over in the cover with Sabrina's painting from the book she illustrated.  This is the realtor's picture. And here's what we call the dance room. This room has best redone twice since we liv...
